-description of lunar eclipse -specific times provided, lasts 36 minutes total, broken down into 18 minute halves -seems to tie into overall astronomy theme
Ideas: Could one of the time points be a clue to location of the treasure? If Empire State Building is center point, could 8:23 be telling us to go East (towards Hamptons?)

Many possibilities here. Here're 3: 1) Could be a vector direction. Start from 8:23, end at 8:41. 2) Could be a nod to the long equation being the numeric representation for 12² + 9² = 15². 12+9+15=36 3) 18 twice could be 18th letter of alphabet twice or 2r. Combine that with Pi-C and you get the formula for circumference of a circle C=2πr. Already calculated r for 12 previously.

How about radians of arc. Look at 100 mile radius with Empire State Building at center. Treasure location is somewhere between 8:05 and 8:41.
I do like how this might tie in with the aviation chapter. A “triangle” is created by the flight path.
Overlapping these two ideas creates sort of a Venn Diagram where we narrow down the search area.
