I have questions about two of the rules.
The following rule seems confusing to me. It isn't written very clearly:
Send the first message received at info@cashunts.com with the Cashhunts treasure code from the email address you used to register, and you will be the winner. Use the subject heading "TREASURE FOUND" in all caps.
And for a botg hunt, the rule about calling in your find up to 3 days from finding it, does not seem fair to all participants. I would think that 24 hours is plenty of time to give someone to send in the code. Everyone owns a cell phone today. Why would a person take 3 days to call in the numbers? In that period of time, you could be costing other participants travel time and cost getting to the hiding spot, and once there, the treasure is missing and has not been reported being found.
One other question: Are searchers finding the teasure, or is there some type of proxy item that will be found in place of the actual treasure?
When are your books coming out?
Thanks for answering.

The reason it is written in a confusing way is that it is attempting to emphasize that the first such message received at info@cashhunts.com will be the winner. In the unlikely event that there are 2 emails sent very close to one another it is easier to determine the winner based on the time stamp of when it is received in that email account rather than trying to actually determine who sent it first. Do you understand what I am saying. It just makes it easier to determine a clear winner rather than having to gather evidence from outside sources.
You may be right that 3 days is too long. The very reason the rule was made in the first place was to address the concern that you are raising. A rule change regarding that will be considered shortly.
It will be a proxy item to be exchanged for cash (check or bank wire). There are no books for this hunt. You are purchasing clues in a form that would not likely be considered a book.

I don't have the time to dedicate to this hunt, but if anyone wants a second set of eyes on a puzzle, let me know.

Is this something a hunter can solve from their home, then once they have figured out the proxy's location, they can leave their home to retreive it?
Or is it something that can only be acheived by being physically in Virginia?
Is this hunt a one-day event? Or do you think it will last longer?
Your website has very little information describing the hunt.
Thanks

I'm not an expert on everything however I strongly believe that you would need to spend at least some time in Virginia to solve the clues. I have no way to know how long it will take someone to find the treasure. Someone may find the treasure in a day or it may take many months.
