I have an idea where the casque may be buried. The lady resembles the Statue of Liberty so it points to New York City. Which burrough is it in. The art painting shows Brooklyn directly below the lady and also representing the largest jewel. George Gershwin was born in Brooklyn and he performed rhapsody in blue. The grey giant could be the Empire State Building or the Chrysler Building. The arm that extends over the narrow path is probably the Verrsno Narrows Bridge. The painting shows a ridge of water flowing in the bay so it points to the Bay Ridge neighborhood. The park here you could see Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, the Verrsno Narrows Bridge, and also the World Trade Centers twin towers is Owls Head Park which is directly south of the isle of B. In 1980 the trees were not grown up like today. Josh Gates said Byrons girls said their father said you could see all these points from the casque bury site. If you turn the painting upside down the flower she is holding in her hand becomes an owl head with 2 eyes and a beak. If you use a magnifying glass and look at the girls hair/head you can see the word owl written there. The seagull has a different head on it. An eagle head. There were 8 statues of eagles at the entrance to Owls Head Park. The water shows alternating bands of water like would be found on a sycamore tree. The lady also has different colored skin on her neck like a sycamore tree. I think you are looking for a v shaped or branched sycamore tree. From this tree you would walk 22 steps from one branch and come to a tree that is probably about 22 inches in diameter now. It will probably be a Blue fir tree or more likely a Blue Ash tree. Rhapsody in Blue. Make sure you walk East from the v-shaped Sycamore tree to the Blue tree. There is a 3 in the birds wing so it may be buried 3 feet away from the trunk but probably closer because the tree has grown over the years. Good Luck and Happy Hunting. If you take the diamond shape of the girls head down her arms to the middle of her sash and turn it upside down it fits perfectly with the shape and boundary of Owl Head Park.
