One thing I noticed about the chapter numbers is Part 2 uses Roman Numerals for the chapter numbers, while Part 1 doesn't. JCB says pay attention to details - so this doesn't seem like it would be an oversight - which makes you wonder why would this be?
Just to differentiate from Part 1 chapters to Part 2? Or something else?

I'd be more inclined to think it was something if it was just a single chapter, but it is certainly possible that it has meaning.

There is also an extra 'G' in the contents - Tugyet instead of tuyet....... could be just a typo.....

In the last sentence - does he rule out North Carolina? For certain? ....what does 'necessarily imply'?

On page 224 (Past and Present box) it is written, "I also wanted to create NFT's of all the treasure boxes and each of their items...........Instead, I'll wait until you find the boxes, and, if you would like me to, I will create NFT's from the original picture files of each box and each item." Do you think these are the only incentives JCB was referring to in the Six Questions? mysteriouswritings.com/theres-treasure-inside-six-questions-jon-collins-black/

Why would he call it footpath instead of trail? It is defined as that here.... www.nps.gov/appa/index.htma 'public footpath.....' Maybe he felt it sounded better..... ? It is interesting.... and there are 'footprints' on the map (top left corner)

Yes, I googled about the A.T. and the whole trail is pedestrian only. Only on special circumstances do they allow bikes or other. Also the trail is in like 5 states so that lets you know that the other boxes could not be there. I am assuming this but I read about them being dispersed throughout the US so everyone had a chance to be near one.

The Forrest Fenn box is obviously in the Rocky Mountains. That knocks out 6. The Appalachian Footpath box knocks out 14 states. That leaves 30 states divided by 3 boxes. So 10 per box. Since only one box is in a single state. However since there are 5 boxes, that means 45 states do not have one. Oh Boy! I wish I went to math class in college.
