Though this is another one that unfortunately I will not be doing a botg search for, I have submitted my locked-in final answer to both TxTH and @jenny the park I believe it will be found in. These scrolls are fun! Why did you submit your answer to txth? Because I trust him, know he's pretty intelligent, and like bouncing my thoughts off other people. Plus, he's also from an awesome state!!!

assuming everyone has solved the viginere cipher on scroll 3, how does that apply to anything else or help?

I still don't have the YVCPHFHXDEQMK clue yet, either. I think that without that cipher, you can not be sure of a solve. There are too many things going on in this scroll.

assuming everyone has solved the viginere cipher on scroll 3, how does that apply to anything else or help? Most people found the keyword for the viginere cipher by working the cipher out backwards. But there is a method in the scroll that tells you how to obtain the keyword. I don't think people know what that is.

Just for fun, let's ask this question:
Where do you think this Philosopher's Stone is hidden?
You can be as specific or as generic as you like.
Since I am asking the question, I will answer first. I think the stone is in a park and on a trail that has switchbacks. I think it is near, or overlooking a lake.

That 6 letter key works for one of the ciphers, but so far the longer one YVC.. remains elusive.
What are those little lines by the parking lot that look like "ditto" marks?

Why are there posts deleted from this thread? I noticed that too. I am assuming it is a violation of the rules??? It was not intentional if I did violate the rules. Sorry.

I'm ready for an early hint from Jenny. Anything on any of these would be great! The 2 black hash marks, upper left corner. The ouroboros, crossed keys, balance, Star of David. YVCPHFHXDEQMK. What does the solution to JCDSKEOPICW mean?

What does the solution to JCDSKEOPICW mean? Razorback - I took it the other way around. How were we supposed to deduce the key for JCD... to give us the answer who is the subject of hunt3? All of your other points im with you 100% stvwz

All of your other points im with you 100% stvwz I'm not sure if I'm with you. I used the story on the scroll to figure out the President, and used his name as the key for the cipher, just as on scroll's 1 and 2. That produced a deciphered message, which has one word, and a partial repeat of that same word. That deciphered message makes no sense to me, so far.

I never thought of it that way. I could quite pinpoint the subject from the story, so backsolved it by putting in my best guesses . Saw that repeated word and figured that it had to be the key. which seems to be confirmed by something else on the scroll. Either way, we still have that other blasted cipher, and the other items on the page that arent playing nice. i even have the travel itinerary of the trip and know several places he could have been, but.....
