There's a thread over at HoD that Iceman started claiming there's a title to the poem.

While I don't agree with Iceman's conclusion, it got me to wondering (into dangerous territory? lol).
In the responses, JDA says:
Ok, Forrest says that a lot. That he "forgot". And I've come to think that things like that are a hint that there's a hint there.
Later on JDA again, says:
Ok, so lets see what Forrest did say just before the poem...
The poem follows immediately after that.
"My Rainbow And The Treasure."
And what is at the end of the poem?
"I give you title to the gold".
So could it be that Forrest hinted this by his usual tricks? ("I forgot" and alternate interpretations?)
Could the title of the poem actually be "My Rainbow And The Treasure"?
Now, there's another trick here. He didn't capitalize the title as he wrote it.
Forrest seems to make multiple use of the things he says. So he used it both ways at once, thus not requiring a capitalization of the words that make up the title of his poem.
I know this is very debatable. And I'm not sure of it myself.
But if it is the case, I'm certain that what we would find is more uses of the supposed title in this same way, in other postings, "Words", and/or Scrapbooks.

Iceman – I think that you are mistaken. Here on Dal’s site – Forrest Gets Mail From a Middle School – Forrest was asked, and answered the following:
“Did you name the poem The Thrill of the Chase?"
"No. I forgot to name it."
“Did you name the poem The Thrill of the Chase?"
"No. I forgot to name it."
Later on JDA again, says:
IF – The Thrill of the Chase IS the title, wouldn’t it be directly above the poem, and have NO words separating the title and the poem? Just logical Iceman – Please give it some consideration. Forrest says he didn’t name it – why do you insist that he did? – NOT LOGICAL!!! JDA
And like Eric Sloane, at age almost eighty, I figured it was time to act. So I wrote a poem containing nine clues that if followed precisely, will lead to the end of my rainbow and the treasure.
"My Rainbow And The Treasure."
And what is at the end of the poem?
"I give you title to the gold".
