My understanding is that this message is tied to the (putative) solution to Stanza 6. Is that correct? You should obviously feel free not to answer that question if it reveals too much of your solution or strategy -- I'm just trying to get a sense of all of the information out there at the moment in order to contribute the most effective suggestions for the next question that I can. You need to find what stanza 6 is eluding to in order to see the numbers but it's not a definite that they are tied to key 2. So...if the ciphertext is part of this hunt, I assume it's on Lukas' website and somehow the correct interpretation of stanza 6 (and or 7) will lead us to the correct url?

Question for March... what are we thinking?

Question for March... what are we thinking? My mind has gone numb, I am no longer capable of thinking The problem we have now is that due to people being at different stages its no longer possible to get a general consensus. I understand that some people are holding back and not even giving a subtle hint as to what they have already found because they think we are close to a final solve , but I dont think we are even close to a final solve. Its more likely to lead to another clue or verse that has to be solved. This hunt could go on for months still. I would suggest that we look for something to narrow down the chest that has been claimed to have been found. I would ask is the chest alluded to a google maps photo-spot or location? It seems a waste of a clue being that someone claims to know this information already but if people are no longer prepared to share, or even give hints, then I guess we are in for many wasted hints from Lukas.

Well, you can't fault people for protecting a hard earned lead. It's a treasure hunt, it's suppose to be a hunt, not a gimme. I find the monthly hint to be a really interesting component, especially now the the field is stretching out. The question asked will now be a hint in and of itself.

I want to know more about 'the book.' My question would be, 'Is the book mentioned in the bonus hint Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone?"

Or maybe "Is the book mentioned in the bonus hint alluded to in stanza 7?"

I find the monthly hint to be a really interesting component, especially now the the field is stretching out. The question asked will now be a hint in and of itself. I agree. Not saying its wrong or right, but it does present a problem when it comes to the monthly question. If people want to go solo then they have no need of this forum and shouldn't be on it. To be honest I dont put in a quarter of the time I used to with this hunt. The clues and linkages between them just seem too random for me. Its a case of getting lucky, or a very long hard slog probably to nowhere. Or waiting for a hint so obvious from Lukas that it brings everyone back up to the same level. The problem now is progress will be a whole lot slower, for everyone. If someone is sitting on a key clue or information that might lead to a solve, they will either have to solve the entire hunt for themselves or wait for everyone else to catch up. If that is the case why even have this forum, why even be on it? It will divide a group that was working well together, probably already has. Even if someone holding back jumps ahead and gets a solve, in future hunts it means no cooperation will take place while those that were holding back have access to everyone else's ideas and thoughts. Why should they expect to see other peoples ideas or information in future hunts? Not only are the screwing things up for those that were willing to share and without whose ideas and thought they would never have got to the point they are now, but they are putting themselves and everyone else at a disadvantage in future hunts. It simply does not make sense especially as we are nowhere close to a final solve in my opinion. In effect what we are seeing is a forum that was a brilliant platform for the sharing of ideas and information becoming more or less totally redundant. Personally I have little serious interest in being the winner of this hunt it was just an enjoyable pastime, I am sure that goes for many, but the impact that this is having will not only spoil this hunt but all future hunts. Is winning one single hunt so important that it is worth spoiling the whole forum and all future hunts?

Well sharing everything isn’t fair to the people that have been at this since day 1. If everyone shared everything, then someone starting this hunt today would be right where we are now. But without patiently waiting for monthly clues and all the time and effort put into researching. These forums are for sharing ideas and possible leads...not your solves. That’s the point of these forums in my mind. To share your dead end paths just incase you missed something Or that idea sparks a breakthrough for someone else.
AS far as questions this month.....I’d suggest asking “is the chest hidden somewhere on the DBT website”. It’s not too revealing to give anything away.....it will help out mostly everyone...except susb8383 (sorry). Or if someone gets chosen who is chasing key 2...maybe asking if a certain state is where the key can be found. For example...”can key 2 be found with google maps in Puerto Rico?

I prefer a basic question like is the key 2 numeric ? -- then 10 digits again?

Can you tell me where you got the info that key two would be "found" with google maps?? I've been catching up after trying to think about other things for a while and I don't think I read anything about that in the forums yet??

I have a hunch key two will be found similar to how key 1 was found is all. So far a critical piece of key 1 was found thru google maps. Mini hunt #2’s answer and the resulting clue leading to the man we needed assistance from have all utilized google maps. I think it’s a theme is all.

How about asking a question along the lines of:
"Is the location of the treasure chest simply revealed by solving Key 1 and Key 2; without having to set those two keys aside and look for the chest as a third component to the riddle?"
...I'm sure somebody has a better way of asking that, but you get the picture.

Lukas posted that the hint winner has been contacted! Can't wait!
I'm in agreement that a hint concerning the form of key 2 would be really helpful! Something like, "Is key 2 compromised of letters only?" Or maybe numbers only? Something that would narrow down the field of what exactly we're looking for.

Agree with you on format for second key. I would be very careful about how its asked though. what if its both..passwords for example often contain letters and numbers and in some cases even symbols. But targeting format will help everyone no matter what stage your at. I would try to stay away from Only type questions. Maybe something like..Does key 2 contain any letters, words or a phrase? If "no "you know for sure its all numbers if yes it may still have numbers but you know for sure letters are used.
