I've got one more thing I can try, and then I'm out of ideas. Best of luck!

Thanks! If someone finds this thing before me, I'm thinking of changing my name to Art3mis. (book, not movie).

I don’t know if this will be helpful or not to anyone - but I’m casually working on this now, so I don’t mind sharing my random thoughts if you all don’t mind 😊. Anyway - I found this interesting thing about the number 284 because of this clue. Something called amicable numbers, you can watch a video here: youtu.be/fUSZBVYZdKY284 and 220 are amicable numbers and were used throughout time to represent love (I get stuck on the love theme in the book a lot). My thought was - what if 220 if the answer to the line “the difference is 284”? The idea being that two people in love together would be 220 + 284 (both numbers representing each person in the equation). Then subtracting 284 would leave 220... Does 220 sound like a number that could be used to help solve this? Maybe a bearing from some point?

This clue gives the number 284 Clue 3 five numbers Clue six gives the number 21 and possibly 25 for the quarter in the image
Maybe we need to use all the numbers together and those are the 8 Numbers from clue 1 painted on the rock
Sorry this isn’t really helpful since I don’t know what to do with all those numbers!

That’s a great idea! I’m really glad someone is still working on this. I liked the book and spent a lot of time working out the clues - without getting anywhere - then decided after the “hint” came out to give up. Until we get a clue giving us more specific direction on where to actually search I’ve moved on and am putting my energy into a different hunt. Good luck!

I have a theory too. The problem is, if it is correct, it gives too much away.

Someone has to go and find this tomorrow. Between Digital Buried Treasure, Forrest Fenn's Treasure, and The Cowboy, it seems June 20202 is the month for finding treasure.

Wish you lived closer. Are you pretty confident you have it solved?

If I lived in Massachusetts, I would be confident enough to go look. However, I don’t have solid solves on every clue. I’m pretty confident that I’m in the right general area. I just don’t have the spot where you’re supposed to wander around looking for the maple tree, locked down. I would like a better solve for clue #2. Is it just leading us to park? The first part of clue #4 ‘dawn’s provoker’ still eludes me. What do you do with the answers to clue #5 and clue #6? And the last part of clue #7, ‘Through a giant magnifier...’ I cant find that place. I have a lot of work still to do.

That is indeed the question.

Personally, I think 'through a giant magnifier' is just telling us to use Google Maps or Google Earth. The icon for search is a magnifying glass.
I could be wrong.

Does anyone else find it odd that Clue 8 is landscape when all the rest are portrait?

I have a solve that involves all the clues, I feel pretty confident in my spot but I live in Fl. My parents live in Ma and are going to check it out for me sometime soon when they have the time 🤞🏻
