In the 2020 Q/A's, Forrest mentions it's only a matter of time for someone to find the treasure. Some searchers take this to mean to it will be found soon, others take it to suggest he doesn't know when it will be found, but believes it will be found someday. Then others feel 'Time' is a hint on how to find it. Which way do you take it? Was Forrest being cryptic or straightforward? Is there anything in the poem suggesting Time is key to finding the treasure? mysteriouswritings.com/2020-mw-questions-with-forrest-fenn-the-new-era-and-beginning-of-legendary-status/4Q) It’s been nearly 10 years since the chest was hidden, and you have launched the Chase. Since it’s 2020, it seems like an appropriate question to ask would be ‘what vision do you have for the next 10 years? 100 years? 1000 years? for the Chase?’
My vision tells me that it is only a matter of time until someone finds the treasure.

Does- if you've been wise and found the blaze- indicate a time element?

I think he was referring to multiple things, including himself. We are all to learn, to find out, to know, and be wise, and then except the title to the gold. It's waiting for the one that knows for sure.

Since we know Forrest is a fan of a great modernist poet, I do see references to past present and future in the poem. Asking if he was being cryptic or straightforward, well I might think both...

From Me & the Indian Dec. 20th 2014
"Peggy and I were in high school when her mom took this photo beside her house on 12th Street. The Indian motorcycle belonged to my friend Edard. His real name was Edward but I called him Edard to save time. He let me drive it once in a while."
If "ω" is a way to denote the end of time (Alpha/Omega style), then Fenn did indeed "save time" by not using it in Edard's name.
Now his vision tells him it's only a matter of time. Perhaps time can no longer be saved because......

When you take his "vision tells him"....with the 'surprises' that are coming, you can consider bombshell, which you hear (and that gets you epiphany, vision, surprise), belle (a sight to see/bell, surprise by beauty - belle/a sound to hear), a sense, perception of sight and sound (Fenn's use of his two sense in OUAW).

I think that it's always been just "a matter of time" before the treasure is found....the question may be why "his vision tells him"....What did/does he see? Did someone find the "focal point"?

I always chuckle to myself when I can find a pair of homophones that match what Fenn is saying. In this case, it's cite/site/sight....his vision (sight) tells (cite) him it (site) is only a matter of time.

I think only a matter of time hints to it being found on a specific date
spring equinox summer solstice

My vision tells me that it is only a matter of time until someone finds the treasure.I think Forrest is referring to the probabilities that with an est. 300K plus searching for the TC the odds are someone will figure it out. While it has been over 9 years of searching, many were all in the same places. He stated that many at the start were in NM, and many more were in WY, now they have spread out and are searching more diverse places. The odds are dropping in favor of the searchers and Forrest see's this. When he first stated it may take 100 or 1000 years to find, he said he had no idea that the response to his challenge would have grown to such an enormous number it is at today.

"Vision" is the hint; as with other eye hints. Could be that his special place was the place he went on a vision quest, where you get a Weyekin.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weyekin
Note: Weyekin = Eye Wink
So what animal did FF see, Frog, Cow?
Using my secret decoder ring, with weyekin, it gives me Vona, Co. Probably another rabbit hole, but the information about Vona was fun to read. Extremely hot summers, bitter cold winters, best time to come: "All Year", hahaha

You realize that that area isn't in the Rocky Mountains, nor is it on Fenn's map?

You realize that that area isn't in the Rocky Mountains, nor is it on Fenn's map? I've said many times that a "good map" is a physiographic map of the Rocky Mountains. If you don't know anything else, this is one way to narrow the search area within the 4 states.
