Hi Guys, I'm offering my solution to the Casque location in St. Augustine. I think everyone is pretty much in agreement that the casque is in Florida, and is in St. Augustine, and most likely in or near The Fountain of Youth Park. I also agree with all the above. This puzzle is not much different from all the others in that all the information to find the casque is in the lower left corner of the image (what I call the micro map). The rest of the image is mostly just to get you to the correct location. All those little hidden details are just to distract from seeing the big picture. Let's first start with the key image. In this puzzle the key image is the flower in the micro map which just also happens to be the tall tree (At the base of a tall tree). Priess is not telling you that the casque is buried at the base of the tree, he's want's you at the base of the tree, so that you can see what needs to be seen. Take a look at the trees. Pay attention to the branch shapes but remember it's been almost 40 years. The first 5 lines of the verse are just helping to confirm your location. I do think the "near men" refers to the "MEN" on the men's rest room. At the base of a tall tree, we are already there. You can still here the honking. Priess is is simply telling you that you are by the road. More to come.

Priess is is simply telling you that you are by the road. More to come. Okay, so we are standing at the base of the tall tree. Check out your surroundings, while we talk about the next clue. Shell, limestone, silver, salt. It should be obvious that the wall next to you contains lots of seashell material (shell), The pillars at either side of the exit drive are most likely limestone (limestone), The next two are what took a bit to figure out but i'm sure I'm correct because it's in the image. On the far side of the shell wall is a light pole, the light has a silver colored reflector around the bulb (silver), the light is mounted to a salt treated wooden pole (salt). Now most folks believe the next two lines refer to the planetarium, and that may be correct but I have another theory as well. From the honking clue and the years pass clue, Priess seems to be pretty focused on letting you know that you are near the road, so he could be using an automobile theme here. Stars move by day, Galaxy, Comet, Taurus, Vega, Nova, all stellar names and automobile names. Sails pass by night, the Corvette is the only automobile I can think of named after a ship but there may be others. Even in darkness, like moonlight in teardrops, over the tall grass, Some older car models had what was referred to as teardrop headlights. That could be considered moonlight in teardrops shining over the tall grass as they pass. I think the "years pass" clue is definitely about automobiles, they are normally referred to by their model year. Checkout the attached image which is the view you have from the base of the tall tree. I'll get to the last clue and all shortly.

In my opinion this has nothing to do with rain but just with something falling, for example (stones rain down from the cliff above). I believe Priess is describing what I see in the image as the key and the casque falling (raining) down into the hole he has dug. I believe all of that is visible in the image along with the same view that you had from the base of the tall tree. See attached image. Where to next?

One possibility for the line “Over the tall grass” is that it might just be a site confirmer for St. Augustine, Florida. St. Augustine grass is a tall grass used in lawns in South-East U.S., good way to hide a clue!

Hey guys, I just want to interject one thing here if you're not familiar. Palm trees are are classed with grasses, what taller grass than a palm tree in that area. Check it out.

Hey Guys, Does anyone have any idea why they masked the clue of Castillo de San Marcos on the flag in image 6? Was it just too easy of a clue? Has anyone noticed any other items in the images that may also be masked?

I really think the key is buried behind the large tree on the right side of the exit of the FOY. That would put it at the base of a tall tree and behind the green picket fence as viewed from the exit road and also behind the bending trees because they mostly bend toward the roadway. It also has the rock wall made of shell and limestone that looks silver. Additionally the entrance and exits are gated so for Preiss to covertly dig a 3' deep hole he would need to have access to the inside of the park at at time when nobody could catch him digging. This location puts him outside the front gate and presumably in a right of way area that he would have easy access too at any time. Plus the honking means he's close to a roadway. Does anybody know if this area has been checked?

Behind the wall on the left side of the exit drive is a 2nd short picket fence, leaving just enough room to go between the wall and the fence and bury the casque. That would locate it at the base of the palm tree behind the fence. It would have been the perfect cover, but that's just my thoughts.

I think that could be another good location. I'm convinced that it's right there in that exit area. It's the most logical location. Searching inside the fence just doesn't make sense to me as it would be virtually impossible to legally get onto the property and dig a hole without being seen. I'm just curious if anybody has searched in this area before.
