Thanks Dave for sharing. A lot of activity on the French sites since this was released. No concrete themes coming from these sites, although there seems to be a lot of comments on the grammar used, something that would require a good understanding of the French language. First level decode for Pot of Roses seems to be referring to this: fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/d%C3%A9couvrir_le_pot_aux_rosesThere is some chat that Pierrette's Rose is an anagram of the Rosetta stone in French. Some chat that Pierrette is the Milkmaid in La Fontaines fable. Some chat that the white pebbles are the remainders. I dont think this clue from Becker will advance the game much. People will use it to support their own theories. Looks like the text can be interpreted lots of ways which means people will draw from it what they want. |

i'm not sure why "Présent de Valentin" would be translated into Valentine rather than referring to Max Valentin.

Agree catherwood, it's a nod to Max.
Another potential track is Honore de Balzac's novel "Pierrette."
It's a well known historical novel in France and famous author like Victor Hugo.
Pierette the heroine is gifted a pot of roses by a wealthy married man. The novel is about her struggles as a lower class woman in France which ultimately ends in tragedy.
I can see some similarities with a couple of the lines from Becker here, especially 'As in another world of which she would be centre'. In the novel Pierette is the central character, she struggles to become what she wants to be before she dies (maybe she will suceed in the next life), a novel is another world (not real life), or it could mean the centre of a book.
Don't think it's a track to rule out just yet.
