What if the key was the cipher. Basically, the key is the cipher which opens a gate. The cipher brings clarity... L.B. might be someone that has a passion of cryptology but also made a cipher. It is just a thought thrown out there! Thought of that too. That original cipher wheel, like your avatar, has some funky letter associations. Could be a direct copy, I suppose, haven't tried it because it doesn't sound right to me but you could have a right path. I dunno, just waiting for tomorrow's hint from retro. Certainly worthy of consideration. 👍 Yeah, I thought that the key was the cipher and it lead to that cipher key. I changed my avatar to it so I have a direct link to it but also to see if others think the same! At least im not the only one thinking about this possiblity! |

I wonder if "L.B." is a character name or real name. 🤔 Wondering similar things. I looked through many lists of “well known famous people” with those initials and nobody stood out as an actor really. Other than the Lucille Ball connection, but I can’t at all place her with a dinosaur?! So, maybe it is a character? |

Just wanted to thank you Retro- I've been loving this puzzle! It's been just the right amount of difficult to keep me invested. I really like how it's formatted, and your clues have been really helpful. Still working away at it, but even if I don't figure this one out completely I'm so excited to try out your future ones too!

Retro was correct. I look back on it with a little less skepticism... still, without the hints it would have been too tough. This was/is a 'getting to know you' phase. I'm looking forward to The Machine. Can't you do a Beetlejuice-type puzzle in between, Retro? |
