More out of the box thinking.
Lets look at the American Eagle and how it might relate to these puzzles. Is an Eagle close by the dig site?
So what does this American Eagle hold in its talons ?. Symbolism. A quiver of arrows for war, could also imply something directional or flight in these puzzles. An Olive branch for peace ( this could apply to “Choices’ site) or maybe a tree or leaves are involved. Some place the eagle on the finial of a flag pole.
San Francisco, you have JFK ,( JFK Drive), and the presidential seal with an Eagle
Milwaukee, you have the branch of the armed forces that occupied the lighthouse,( Coast Guard), Eagle eye view from the lighthouse.
Chicago, President Grant/ Lincoln/ Jackson/ Roosevelt, (presidential eagle seals)
NOLA, you have the eagle statue in Armstrong park
St. Augustine, you have the warriors ( conquistador), they built a “ post” there….. palm branch/ frond is a symbol of peace.
Charleston , you have the Civil war link, ( Cannon), probably an eagle somewhere close by , might be on the cannon itself
Roanoke , Sir Walter Raleigh ( military)/ Fort Raleigh link , you might consider Kitty “Hawk” as a tie in
Boston, you have the USS Constitution war ship
Houston, you have the branches of the tree,( Sycamore)
NYC, Maritime Memorial (a war memorial dedicated to those lost at sea), Big Eagle on site
Quebec city, ( Montreal), Joan of Arc was a warrior. Trees, ( only standing member in a forest) are involved in the location. Maybe even the leaves that BP was trying to hid under.
Cleveland, ? Could have something to do with peace since it’s a mishmash of cultures
