I am joining The Art of Hidden Messages in adding a few quick fun hunts leading up to the release o fall the 'main' hunts on March 21.
The prize for each of these hunts will be one of these pocket gemstones in the shape of the moon or a hare, both are subjects of Masquerade. All prizes for these hunts will be mailed out after March 21st.
Winner will be the first to send in the correct answer and must have a US mailing address.
Good Luck and have fun!
UPDATE: Please note, the following tokens have been claimed. The only ones left are the moons - Lapis (blue), Opalite (white) and Mica (green).

I have been getting a lot of answers, but so far none are correct. Many of these answers fit with one or two parts of the 'poem' but none fit all parts.
Good luck!

I have a winner! Congratulations to stercox who sent in the correct answer, which had to be exact.
Here is the solution to this hunt:
Use all lines to solve the riddle:
1. IS THERE ANOTHER HIDDEN MESSAGE HERE?
Start by identifying the known hidden messages: -Red letters = HARE -Barbed letters = GOLDEN -One of Six to Eight = Catherine of Aragon, Henry the Eighth's 6th wife -The first word of the Master Riddle (eyes to toes/ fingers) = CATHERINE'S
The word from the Master Riddle is CATHERINE'S, and this is the "answer" you needed to rearrange.
2. REARRANGE THE ANSWER You need to anagram the word CATHERINE'S, but to nail down the correct anagram (there are many), you need to refer to the next statements.
3. LIKE RABBITS, BUNNIES AND MICE/ THERE MAY BE MANY. HARES also breed like rabbits, bunnies and mice, producing many offspring
4. BUT ONLY ONE IS NICE! CATHERINE'S anagrams to NICEST HARE, so this is the 'extra' hidden message, and the only hare that is nice.
Thank you all and I'll post another "Fun with Masquerade" hunt soon (and without warning)!

Just to clear up some confusion. When I say to find the hares, you do not need to include the "s" - every single hare counts!

Congratulations to MisDiggingRules, who sent in the correct answer - and even found and extra one!
Here is the solution to the Fun With Masquerade Hunt #2:
1 hare under Penny Pockets' skirt
2 hares in the introduction:
COLOURED POCKETS BUZZING BEES BUT HOW MANY HARES CAN YOU SEE?
2 hares in the border words: CHOOSE A NUMBER AND A COLOUR FIND THE POCKET NOW PASS ME BY
1 hare on the slide puzzle: 8-1-18-5 = HARE
3 hares in the instructions at the bottom of the page:
Send your Answer to me HeRE on Mysterious WRitings/ IncludE How mAny And wHER you see them
So the answer I was looking for is 9 hares :-) MisDiggingRules found one more by combining letters from both the introduction at the top and the instructions at the bottom, which I had missed :-)
I'll post Fun With Masquerade Hunt #3 after tomorrow's mini hunt and before the last mini hunt on the 14th.

Congratulations to Brute_Forcing of Team Shadowgate for sending in the first correct answer!
And kudos to forestblight and violalee who were close behind with their correct answers!
The solution is:
1 16 11 8 12 7 2 15 6 9 18 3 17 4 5 10
or
1 12 6 17 16 7 9 4 11 2 18 5 8 15 3 10
Each row, column and diagonal adds up to 36
1-1-3-5-8-10-11-18 = AACEHJKR, which anagrams to JACK HARE
Thanks for playing and I'll post another Masquerade-related hunt in the next few days :-) Right now, I'm going to see if I can figure out Samantha's hunt - it's a tough one!

Just for clarification: Although I am aware that bunnies (rabbits) and hares are two distinct species, here, for the purposes of my Masquerade hunts, I use the terms interchangeably

Congratulations to violalee who sent in the first correct answer!
Solution to Masquerade Fun Hunt #4:
First you needed to solve the square on the soccer field. In the original book, this was a series of numbers from the periodic table whose elements spelled out "False nouu think again", showing it was red herring clue. For my hunt, I also used numbers from the periodic table:
92 U – Uranium 9 F – Fluorine 53 I – Iodine 60 ND – Neodymium 5 B – Boron 92 U – Uranium 7 N – Nitrogen 28 NI – Nickel 99 ES – Einsteinium
U FIND BUNNIES. which instructs you to find all the bunnies/ hares in the image
There are NINE bunnies/hares in the image: • Two HAREs can be spelled from letters in the borders • One "BUNNIE" spelled out in the grid • One tiny bunny in the E in SEA (right border) • One bunny in the clouds on the right • Three bunnies in the landscape • And in the sky near the dandelion (upper R corner), the stars of the Lepus (Hare) constellation are in the sky
