December's clue: "Don't feel like a nut. Just go for a drive. That's it. Ok?" January's clue: It's off to the side, unless it's not. Then it might be in front of you. Either way, it's on the other side.

January's clue is going to be released on Tuesday, January 7.In the meantime, here's the main prize for this hunt (see my website for more details):The 2018 United States Mint Silver Proof Set features 10 proof coins encased in two clear plastic lenses in a beautifully designed package. The quarters, dime, and half dollar are minted in 90 percent silver, generally referred to as “coin silver.” The 2018 United States Mint Silver Proof Set contains 10 coins, each bearing the “S” mint mark of the United States Mint at San Francisco. Included in this set are: Five America the Beautiful Quarters Program coins with proof finishes honoring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan; Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin; Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota; Cumberland Island National Seashore in Georgia; and Block Island National Wildlife Refuge in Rhode Island. The design depicts Jim Thorpe, while the foreground highlights his achievements in football and as an Olympian. For 33 years, Grand Rapids, Michigan area residents looked forward to beating the winter doldrums by searching for treasure thanks to The Wyoming Riddler. In 2014, Joe Cramer retired as the Wyoming Riddler. Now, five years later, the winter tradition is being reborn. As an homage to his service and the years of free fun created by Joe, I'm launching an annual treasure hunt as The GRRiddler (Grand Rapids Riddler). Keeping in Joe's tradition, The GRRiddler hid a metal medallion somewhere in the greater Grand Rapids area. The medallion is marked with R.S.T.H (which means Read and Seek Treasure Hunt). On the first Tuesday of November the riddle was released. The puzzle can be solved by using a greater Grand Rapids area map to decipher the clues. The medallion is accessible 24 hours a day by the public. Additional clues will be released the first Tuesday of each month until February. The hunt will end on the last day of February. If the medallion is not returned to me by that time, the hunt will be over and the prize will roll over to the next year. This is a BOTG (boots on the ground) treasure hunt. The reward is relatively small so the audience for this hunt is also expected to be small both in numbers and geography. For additional details, please visit The Grand Rapids Riddler. The riddle for GRRiddler 2020:"When you've found this wonderful town, you'll need to go one by one. As the sun goes down, be among the first and keep your head up. That's it. Ok?"

I thought I read somewhere that if the goal isn't reached, he'd refund the donations. But I can't find where I read that. I did find this FAQ at Crowdfunder: www.crowdfunder.co.uk/guides/faq/project-ownerEither "All or Nothing" or "Keep What You Raise". Looks like his is "All or Nothing" based on the note on the page: This project will only be funded if at least £30,000 is pledged by April 14th 2019 at 7:43pm It's an ambitious project. He's looking to raise double the cost of the prize in order to cover printing costs, etc. Smart if it works. All costs covered up front. Book sales will be pure profit. And if it does work, I've got plenty of ideas.

Does anyone feel like they're on the trail? I'm still wandering aimlessly.

I agree this one was a little tougher than the last to understand but I am ok with that because people that can understand it usually help us out here. So far I have the solution narrowed down to the Northern Hemisphere. I think? lol I think it's in the Rocky Mountains North of Santa Fe. *slow clap* That's probably a better guess than what I'm working on. I've been all over the globe so far. I'm still trying to get my bearings straight on this one. Or would that be Bering Strait? I've also been led to Winnie the Pooh. And an island in Mexico. I think I've got a bit of work to do.

This is a tricky one, but fun. It's a free adventure, so it's good that the difficulty is high so we get to work for it!
