Grosse Pointe Blank was included to help point to Michigan as the state where the cache was hidden.
I chose the Fleur de lis because it has religious symbolism which ties into the title of the book. Other than that, there aren't any intended clues embedded in it.

The blank page does not have a meaning (other than being required for printing purposes).

I received the correct solution from Larry G. over the weekend. This hunt has been solved and I've awarded the prize to Larry. I'll be providing more details on my site along with a full solution later this week.
Thanks to everyone who bought the book and took a shot at it! It was a great adventure for me to be on the other end (making the treasure hunt) instead of being the one looking for it. I hope it was fun for those who were working on it as well. I'll be sure to do another one in the near future.

I have to admit I'm considerably lost on this one. I haven't made any progress on the images. There's so much text and story and so many names, places, events. It's a bit overwhelming. I'm thinking of looking at "Masquarade" more with the idea that it might be partially the "model" for the Bossall hunt.

From time to time I do blog posts. Some people think there might be clues in them.

Jenny! Please try to do another Six Questions with Doug. Doug responded to my email in January, saying the hunt is still alive and well. But I see very little activity surrounding this hunt. His site was last updated in 2015. This hunt has me stumped.

I received an email response from Doug on January 18, so I thought I'd share it here. He says "the hunt is still alive and kicking."

Given the author's use of the night sky, constellations, etc., I wonder if "Uranus" might be relevant.
"As on our house walls" is interesting though based on the illustrations in the story. Hmm...

brambler, You could try contacting the company that designed the website: www.digitaltigermedia.co.uk/Maybe it's an error they can correct. You could also do a domain whois look up and find an email address there. Hope that helps! Martin

I appreciate the feedback on the difficulty. As I was putting the hunt together I encountered the riddle-maker's dilemma. Since I knew the answers, gauging the difficulty of the solve became a challenge. I do want this solved and I'm confident it will be solved (probably this year). To date, four clues have been correctly identified by searchers. If I feel no one is making progress, I'll release more Q&As and more clues. I've been searching for Fenn's treasure since 2013 and, yes, his prize is much more lucrative and much more worth my time and money to search for. My future hunts likely will be all armchair hunts unless I find Fenn's and re-invest.

Q & A
Jun 21, 2017 13:14:27 GMT -5

New Q & A: Q: I'm reading your book (Kindle version) and I want to ask if the page numbers mean anything - the reason I ask is that the Kindle doesn't really have page numbers, so I would be missing something if they were important... My answer: Page numbers are irrelevant and not important. Q: You narrowed down the search area in one of your blog posts. Would you be willing to narrow it down even more? I mean the prize really isn't that big to be searching such a large area. My answer: I've got to hand it to you for asking. Yes, I'd be willing to narrow it down even more.
