Tomorrow will be one week since this treasure hunt pdf was released.
I would like to know if there are still people who have not found a starting point.
If I can get ten registered players to tell me that they have not found a starting point, and that they are stuck, I will release a clue that should lead you to a starting place.
Please post here or on The Art of Hidden Messages facebook site saying that you need a clue.
Once I have ten or more players asking for a clue, I will post one.
I want everyone to enjoy the hunt, be able to participate, and not just have a pdf in their hand!

If we can get ten people asking for a clue by the end of the day, I will not only give one clue, but I will give TWO CLUES. So far between this site, and the Art of Hidden Messages facebook site, we have eight people. Find two more people, and you will get TWO CLUES!

We received enough requests for clues, so not one, but TWO CLUES are posted on The Art of Hidden Messages facebook page.
Clue #1 should help you find a STARTING PLACE. Look at the photo. If you want to ask questions, I will try my best to answer them without giving too much away.
Clue #2 is probably easy to solve. It will help you on your way, a little bit.

QUESTION: Hmm, the portrait starting point. I know who she is. But is it who or things about her that is important?
Hard to ask this without giving out too much.
ANSWER: It is not important who she is but things about her are important.

Good to hear trapper!
I thought that the starting point was rather obvious, myself. And I wondered why others just couldn't see it! And to have so many people comment that they had no idea where to start was driving me mad! I wanted everyone to have fun with this hunt, not just sit back with the pdf in their hands.
After releasing the clues, I am hearing positive things. People have found a place to start and are on their way.
And if there is anyone who is still stuck, please ask some questions about Clue #1. I will do my best to get you started.

Well I've been smelling, and touching the pdf, but alas, nothing. Is the word NOTHING involved? Listen to the sounds that fill the air.
Edit: I'm joking. Half joking I guess. The word nothing has actually come up while trying to decode the questions.

Your clues helped me find the starting point (or one of the starting points) and it's opened up a whole variety of options to pursue.... It's a GREAT hunt.... not sure I'll solve it... but thank you for putting in so much effort to create it... once someone gets deep enough into it all, all that effort shows and makes this very very very fun (and educational) all at the same time. I'm still not getting it somehow. You apply the method from the clue to the flowers? They don't seem to be in the correct alignment.

I am at a total standstill, so don't know what to do. At this point, I guess I need to leave the puzzle for a while and see what happens. I have most of the clues solved, it seems, but still have no idea what to do with them or see how they relate. I don't think I understand how to find the questions from the art, even though I have tons of questions about the art. This is the first time in 20 years of working puzzles that I have reached a place of not being able to continue.
