Oh, thanks! I've had "what did you find first?" stuck in my head, and I keep stumbling over that I guess. Now I see the correct arrangement -- very nice. Now on to the next hurdle.... Jenny, I really am new at this, but I'm getting hooked. I bought your book for the Forrest Fenn content, honestly, but I devoured most of your puzzles and even started looking into some of the other hunts (e.g., Beacon Star). It's all fun stuff. Also sometimes baffling and frustrating. But definitely fun. Hi Harry, As much as I try, I find no logic in the organization of the pieces of the puzzle. Any tips please?

mcb-
I will happily send a book to you where you live..... I've sent numerous books internationally. We can split the cost of postage. It's not true that you can't get a book, and work on this with a book, if you want. It wouldn't be anymore than what people are paying for the books on Amazon (instead of buying on site where it is on sale)
Please message me.
Best to you, jenny

McB: I'm not sure I understand your question. The first stage of the problem is to convert the 80 XXX-Y codes on the 16 puzzle pieces into letters. That's quite straightforward if you have the book. The next stage (I believe) is correctly arranging the 16 puzzle pieces, which again is straightforward if you have the book. What is not yet obvious to me is the correct process for converting the letters from stage 1/2 into the correct letters (possibly via Vigenere decryption). Depending on how you read out the letters from stage 1/2, there are indications of key lengths of either 16, 19 or 20. There are some obvious choices of possible keys for length 16 or 19. Assuming Vigenere is involved, based on the one example she has provided in Medallion #1, the key length is likely to be a divisor of 80, so this would make the length 19 key improbable. Of course, it matters whether you perform Vig decryption before or after arranging the puzzle pieces. I had assumed the pieces had to be correctly arranged first, but that may be a bad assumption. Hi Zap, Did you make any progress with decryption? I'm trying various ways, but not yet successful.

Hola McB, It sounds like you're going to get a copy of the book, which I definitely recommend. I think you figured out how to decode the numbers on each of the 16 puzzle pieces. For the next step (figuring out how to order/organize them), you need the book. One of the other stand-alone puzzles in the book serves as a guide. Figuring out where to go from there is basically where I'm at, but I haven't had much time to work on it the past few days. I hope to get back to it soon.... Harry

OMG... Does anyone have any ideas, or tips, on replacing the puzzle letters? Since no qualified individual will offer help...I'll let you know I'm working on it this weekend. Given the "leaked" information from a few here, I'll try to see what I can see. Best I can do for ya

But ... nothing yet.

I found this phrase coded in the book: "in the waves of change we often find true purpose" Does it mean anything to anyone? Is there anything in the book that can relate to that phrase?

Does anyone on here have any tips ( without giving too much away ) for the order of the puzzle pieces? I have the first step completed , but don’t know what to do with these 80 letters. I assigned them in order ( first piece in the book) then from there I put them in numerical order, but that gave me gibberish. I’ve tried different ciphers( vig and Caesar ) and still get nothing. Is there a key word we have to find? I am at a loss.

Thank you, Mcb. I’ll have to work on it when I get home. Much appreciated!
