Digging this post up- is it "a cross appended" or "across appended?" I'm having trouble trying to investigate both paths. Can't seem to make sense of this. According to one of the hint videos it's "a cross appended". Where did you see this?

Has anyone found out if we have to click on the actual businesses on the block and look through their photos on google or is the information visible as it is from the street view ? And has anyone checked out the class of 2018 on the restaurant maybe something about lies with friends there since we can’t look up by the high school?

"a watery tragedy" + "a cross appended" = shipwreck + letter? Mary D.Hume I so badly want that shipwreck to be part of the answer but I think because it's not in the specified area it has to be discounted.

True, though Lukas said it was either a shipwreck, drowning, or flood?

Do you think it was just meant to provide a hint towards the location we have to search? The shipwreck itself is basically at the North end of the road, so maybe it was just trying to point towards this section of town. So maybe the shipwreck points us to the location but we don't need the name for the key?

Maybe, I don't know, I'm 100% sure I've found the location, but I didn't find the key yet

Same! I want to know if we need the rest of the cipher to find the key in the specific location or if we need to use the next stanza.

Is it where 2 other keys are? Me and Dutch have been going back and forth with ideas on the key. I feel we both have a very strong case for our associations with the poem and the buildings. The problem is what is the information we have to derive from it. I’m hoping the key is 10 characters to fit with the whole 10 theme going on. And I think the first character is a capital letter and I do have reasoning for that. I just don’t know if it’s going to be a mixture of 9 letters or numbers after but I’m betting on numbers.

I've got a gut instinct narrowing me down to a building and general area to search for the key. I don't have any ideas about the format of the key, but I think it might be shorter than ten characters. Feel like sharing ideas?

We get a question coming up here soon. Sounds like we need to know the format for the second key

I don't know about that specific thing (class of 2018) but I'm still insistent that mini hunt 2 reveals some of the process Lukas takes to make riddles like the one for key number 2. That mini hunt took months to figure out and I remember that it was about stanzas where it lead you to a street, relating to that street you had the building with mother lode where they had AA meetings and he reasoned that to being men holding hands (sorry I'm sleepy not the exact words) and mother to something else I'm not remembering now, so I can totally see as what happens in those buildings being related to clues in stanzas. Today I even lurked around Gold Beach Facebook group but with covid you can't find much about community events and such.

Why would it use that terminology if* it wasn’t hidden under or inside something. Lukas never according to my knowledge said the first key was ever buried. Just that we had to find the 3 parts.
