So much for Robert Redford's book... The Outlaw Trail? The Outlaw Trail - a Journey Through Time is the full title. I always thought it was a hint to something, possibly that the journey to the chest features some things reminiscent of stories in TTOTC, but it seems less likely now.

So Jenny, you're not a little bit suspicious that a 3-year-in searcher appears here out of nowhere, and then asks a question for you to forward to Forrest, and it's answered almost immediately? As Anna Graham (whose avatar reveals her theme of poem focus) pointed out on THOR today, "Martha Pemegano" is an anagram of "Anagram the poem." So at the very least, Martha (like Anna) is a fan of poem anagramming. I was getting ready to post it, but see someone else found it. thanks for posting. Could be coincidence but seems unlikely. anagram “the poem” ? Youve got “tempo” (time) in there, and “hope met”. Also, the answer does seem helpful to those who are devoting time to approaching the poem from a Clock perspective. It now allows them to free up their search and redirect, improving their odds. So forest is aiding some searchers. It could probably be argued that the aid is insignificant since other options to explore are almost infinite. He may also be referring to “gut” again.

It's just as likely it's a troll as it is Forrest. What better way to steer people off course temporarily then to plant a "hint". Since we can't say for sure if Martha is who she says she is or not, my inclination is to move along, nothing to see here. Don't get caught up in this obstacle thrown in front of us. Jump over it and keep going.

Oh that would have been a clever method for solving some of the Poem..... With another hunt, I'm working on something similar to that.....(your comments give me more confidence for what I'm finding there.....seems it's not such an uncommon idea/ possibly not a rabbit hole)

Maybe someone who posts anagram solves is over looking something, but maybe not.

Coordinates are based on time, does this mean coordinates in a solve is out the door also?

Forrest, since there are 24 poem lines and 24 hours in a day, does the poem have something to do with time, even if it is metaphorical? Martha Pemegano No Martha, it does not. You are overcooking the poem. f Caps used: NMY Nmy phonetically is enemy. Time is the enemy? Time was in the trash... Wasted time? M: "...does the poem have something to do with time,..." F: "...You are overcooking..." Is a statement of time. Hey Jamie! This one sort of troubles me. But what if the poem doesn't have to do with time, yet one of the clues in the poem does? So you cook part of the poem but if you cook the entire poem (time assignments), you are overcooking? Or since the "overcooking the poem" has been used before... could the blaze be exactly that? a blaze to cook with? That would most certainly be a human blaze (wise for the fox to dress like the hound). The Time magazine was in the trash. Recent SB's Forrest talks about trash, and how he found valuable object in a trashcan he backed into. The final chapter he added to OUAW was of Dizzy Dean on the cover of none other than TIME MAGAZINE. One man's trash is another man's treasure?? Lot to think on.

Hi all, my last name I did not want to reveal, so I made the name up with my real first name. Yes, the anagram was purposely done and it was to test the waters so to speak. I just want to clarify this as some people think that I might be Forrest. I am not. Thank you Forrest for your answer. It seems many people do anagram. Martha

Martha You were testing to see if searchers anagram? Yes, many do. I know you said you've been searching for 3 years - have you also been interested in anagrams or is this something you've recently tested? Most of these blogs/forums have abundant anagram threads so it's surprising that you needed confirmation.

As suspected: "anagram the poem" was too unlikely to be a coincidence. ;-) Nevertheless, Forrest's answer is a bit of a wet blanket for searchers with solar alignment solutions. I always thought the poem was hard enough without placing an additional restriction on temporal clues that only work a couple days a year (and only when the sun shines). So at least this Q&A will allow those folks to retool and refocus their energies on spatial solution solving.
