With everything that has happened recently, (including Covid 19 and it’s devastating impact for everyone). The rights and wrongs of the treasure hunt and what to do with all the time that the poem occupied my mind. I am feeling a bit lost. Whatever happens next in the chase saga is anyones guess.
But remember - Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
In the meantime i have decided to just continue working on my solve, it was one of the good things in my life, it kept my mind active, and gave me hope, and now, even if there isn’t a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow-it will encourage me and hopefully others to get out into the wilderness which is a wonderful thing - and that is what Forrest had initially intended people to do in writing the poem.

I don't know exactly what I'm going to do now. But I do think there will be some searchers who will hang on and attempt to find a used hidey hole.

I reached a satisfactory (to me) end to solving it in 2019. Gonna make a thread- did not mean to hijack yours.

ladyv it is hard to get back into it when all this has happened.. ‘The Chest Has been Found ‘ ! Is the one thing that will disappear in time. Then we can hopefully go back into our search modes.

I may keep on. I learned so much about so many areas. Yes, the trails I've followed have been highly educational, and the poem caused a great deal of thought about it all too. I've also found some fun things that I cannot certify as Chase related, but fun none the less. I may find time to write up a few posts regarding those, just for the fun of it.

One last BOTG come Labor Day, for me. It’s the next time I can string three days together. At this point, I’ve got to know if my latest solve was correct, or not. Closure is what I seek. For each who still suffer from not knowing whether they were right, or not, there is still a road map to the blaze. I plan on finding out whether my map leads to where the treasure had lain, or not.

I'm sticking with my final solve forever when I head out to that trail, but I'm keeping my other solve for when I go to that trail. There fishing spots so it works out for treasures new as long as the 🐟 is good and the forest isn't burning.

If it was only about answers and not a chest I would have stopped in Oct last year when I figured out the answers to pretty much all the major puzzles of the chase. At this point I have no desire to spend money to go back to that area and see if i was right about "water high" by trying to find a "blaze" that may or may not still be there.
I know where Forrest's special spot is. I've stood there, even though I didn't find where the chest was in that area. To me, that's pretty impressive and very, very rare.

Like Brianu, I am sticking with my solve.
Since many have posted their solve I thought I would do the same. This is my solve for New Mexico. Mine starts with the second stanza with “Begin it where warm waters halt”. This place is on a cliff with a view of the mountains. The second line says to take it in the canyon down. It is a long way down so one must be very careful. Next line, not far, but too far to walk means it is not very far in distance but you have to follow the water. As you walk up the creek, you will see HOB. After you walk up the creek, the hidey spot will be on your nigh. You will see the blaze and another marker to mark spot. The rest of poem describes the general location and what to do.
This is a simple explanation but I have documentation for my solve. Fenn said, “Keep it simple.” Fenn provided many hint/clues in MHO.
Many have their solve in Montana or Wyoming but for me it is New Mexico. Perhaps I am wrong but each of us believe to have the correct solve.
Fenn said that if you find WWW, you are more than half way there. In my solve, it is correct. The distance from where the car is parked to WWW is more than half way than the point when you reach the bottom of canyon to the distant hidey spot.
I wish everyone the best of luck. Looking forward for Fenn to provide more information.
Brianu, wish you the best of luck.
