Because there is some discussion about where information is being posted & shared, I can say that any questions about my hunt should be posted here and any comments or hints I post will be here. I will not answer questions or participate in discussions posted on facebook or any other forum.

Again, in response to a FB question, whether other books are needed to solve a hunt, I can only comment on my hunt. I did use a page from the original Masquerade, but you do not need to be familiar that book to solve my hunt. Everything you need appears in my hunt. It's not necessary, but if you want to compare my hunt page with the original version, you can see the entire book online at bunnyears.net/kitwilliams/-FHH

I have received some guesses to my hunt over the past few days. Not the correct answer yet, but keep them coming!
I would like to ask that when you submit your answers, please include not just the place, but also how you arrived at that location. What clues or parts of the puzzle led you to that spot?
Thanks and good luck!

It is more rewarding to know you solved a series of clues to arrive at an answer rather than just lucking out with a random Google search.....

The solution to the hunt is at the end of my explanation of clues so if you don't want to know yet, don't scroll down :-)
I used this page from Masquerade as the starting point for my hunt.
1. The border words are about dancing and I added three hares to the image. 2. The couple is pointing to the Spring Equinox, the date the Masquerade Tribute hunt was released. I used 'Spring Equinox' as the keyword to my Vigenere cipher (upper right corner).
3. The jeweled hare from the original Masquerade hunt is shown hanging at the top of the image next to the spring equinox as another clue that this will lead you to the treasure.
Kit Williams used Spring Equinox as a clue in Masquerade. It indicated this is when the shadow from the monument to Catherine of Argon pointed to the location of the buried casque.
4. The cardinal is Ohio's state bird.
5. The Vigenere cipher: "ROMPIxNG TRIO OVExRSHADOWS SPLASHIxNG CHILDRExN AND SCATTERED BOxULDERS" using the key words 'Spring Equinox'. The dancing bunnies are on a hillock overlooking a children's splash pool and a field of man-made boulders (the x's were added to give me the number of letters I wanted).
In Masquerade, the master riddle was, "Catherine's long finger overshadows earth/ buried yellow amulet/ midday points the hour in light of equinox/ look you". I wanted my riddle to be similar.
6. The Periodic Table cipher: 8-Oxygen (O), 5-Boron (B), 18-Argon (Ar), 10-Neon (Ne), 86-Radon (Rn), 6-Carbon (C), and 16-Sulphur (S). Keeping the double letters together as shown, this anagrams to: NeAr CORn COBS. There is a nearby park in Dublin with 109 human-sized upright corncobs.
Kit Williams used the periodic table in a cipher that basically said it was a false clue. If you took the first letters from the master riddle, it spelled "Close by Ampthill" as a clue to the location of the buried golden hare. For my hunt, I picked 'Near Corncobs' for the same reason.
7. The violin man with rabbit ears is sitting on a globe in Masquerade. For my hunt, I replaced the globe with a Google Earth image of the park and the location of the dancing bunnies.
The solution to my Masquerade Redux hunt is: Three Dancing Bunnies Sculpture, Ballantrae Park, Dublin, OH.
I used some ideas from Masquerade as a tribute to the hunt that first got me interested in treasure hunting, but knowledge of the book was not necessary to solve my hunt.
I hope you had fun with it!
