I think once you find the watch/tree represented in the picture you need to head in the 10 o'clock direction.
They posted a video of them hiding the gnome and it is at the very tree represented, so no need to head off farther.

The thing to the top right of the butterfly wing is a "Tricorn" hat. Its a navy hat or pirate hat. We were discussing with one of the other hunters on facebook messanger last night. This tricorn hat could be another disney movie reference. Maybe a statue with a Tricorn hat. |

I'm talking about the other tree, not the stump...I think if you find the watch under the branched tree area it will point the way to the stump tree. |

We found alot of references in the movie "alice in wonderland". The butterfly, the watch, the dodo bird with the tricorn hat. The music speaks alot of same words in the boarder text. We continue our search today near Red Rock amapatheater in Morrison, Colorado. Near the trading post area. It has a lantern. Lots of mountains around with trees that seem to fit the video of Dustin White and Deidra White. Walking some of the trails now.

Not much has been addressed about the border: (1)the red font...obviously it could be the unscrambled to read "patH". (2) what is significance of the word ONE being capitalized? (3) if it is about Alice, why use pronoun "he"?
Originally I though: Dreamland (Doctor Who)- First episode the ufo is shot down in Rockwell, NM which is in Mountain Time Zone and known for ExtraTerrestrials. And known as a "TimeLord"..I just couldn't tie in other clues...
Care to share any thoughts on either "path"? (see what I did there? LOL)

I think the picture is also a map. The word Near is underlined and the butterfly does point to the letters DEN, so one of my Geology based theories is in CO. I'm hoping to have someone botg there soon, so we will see how wrong I am, lol.
However, if you are looking into the Disney connection, Walt Disney visited Co. Springs / Broadmoor and ended up purchasing the giant fossilized tree stump (from a petrified forrest park nearby) that is in Frontierland @ Disneyland. Which would fit Walt Near DEN."
There is a co rd 1 near the fossil park, but I haven't placed many other clues there yet. But if you want to get out of Denver for the day, you can explore that area as well.

Although we are still searching in Denver, Colorado...there is another group (hunt #9 - Gnome Masquerade) that is searching in New York city. The "starry night" painting is at the museum in New York. Over in Central Park near East 74th street is a large bronze statue of Alice, the Mad Hatter & the White Rabbit from Lewis Carroll's classic book. If there are any other "gnome masquerade" hunters in New York city...you might want to head over to Central Park and search near the area of the bronze statue.
