Hmm... I still haven't managed to lure people back into this hunt? I need to up my game. Look at the map on pages 16 and 17. If you list the six states with arabic numerals (1-6) and just look at the first letter of each one, the first three (CWW) are a vertical reflection of the final three (MMC). Coincidence? Possibly, possibly... Is it telling us to fold some pages? Possibly, possibly...

That's pretty cool. It's a new one to me.
I'm not ready to jump back into this one, though. Good luck!

Agreed. Need a new interpretation of the riddle. One that uses Casseiopia and points to specific starting city.

In my opinion "ww" is the key to the hunt. Why do I think that? Look at the Donleg Orchards front gate. You can see "key" in the exact spot where the boards cross. To the immediate left of "key" is a perfect little arrow pointing at two w's.

There are definitely a lot of "W" shapes in the landscapes.

Here's something interesting. The map on pages 16 & 17 only includes the lower 48 states. The names of those states are also written in all-caps around the margins of 12 pages (4 per page). The orientation of the names is consistent on all 12 pages except for Ohio on page 4, which is written in vertical type.
Why is Ohio different? It might be a hint toward that state, but it might also be a hint toward that geometry stuff with the images. Written in all-caps, "OHIO" is just two circles with the same 3-line symbol repeated and rotated between them. That is, you can convert between "H" and "I" just by rotating 90 degrees and squeezing and stretching those lines a bit. (See illustration below.) If we do that to the "OHIO" along the margin of page 4, we end up with the same orientation used on the left edge of all the other 11 "state pages."
Is this telling us to squeeze, stretch, and rotate some shapes in the images?

I'm looking at page 5. The boards of the gate make an "x" and the letters are in the center. Look to the left and you will see a tiny, perfectly-shaped arrow pointing at two w's.

In order to get to a credible solve, I believe the following clues would need to be put together 1) PINETREES 2) CASSEIOPIA 3) 8 STATES 4) PLACE IN ORDER
Side note, I always favored Wisconsin because it was a PINETREE, it was used In CASSEIOPIA map puzzle and is one of the 8 states to border the Great Lakes.
There are a lot of ‘oddities’ including misspellings, different orientations of lettering etc. - not sure if helpful or just red herrings
The correct interpretation of the riddle is the key to putting it all together. Each verse seems to serve a purpose.

One of the states that have bold letters in their name in borders. Anagram is PINETREES. Believe this ties into the ‘some trees have leaves, needles’ verse.

Okay, let's put together all of our state-related information and see if it gets us somewhere.
- The book has 32 pages and opens in the middle (pp. 16-17) to a map of the lower 48 states.
- Six states on the map are numbered in Arabic numerals (1-6) and four more are numbered in lower-case Roman numerals (i-iv).
- The numbers are not all the same size and they seem to be very deliberately positioned within each state. Each number is beside a state border, rather than being in the middle. If they refer to the position of the state line (relative to the digit) the order would be left side, right side, upper left corner, lower left corner, top, upper right corner, upper right corner, upper right corner, left side, left side.
- If we use the state numbering both to put the names in order and to chose a letter from each name, the letters spell out CASSIOPEIA.
COLORADO WASHINGTON WISCONSIN MISSOURI MICHIGAN CALIFORNIA PENNSYLVANIA TEXAS MAINE ARKANSAS
- The 48 states shown on the map also appear in the margins of 12 pages, 4 states per page. The 12 pages that have state names in their margins are 4, 7, 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 21, 22, 25, 26, and 29.
- Of the 10 numbered states on the map, the six in Arabic numerals (1-6) all appear in margins on pages 4 through 18. The four in Roman numerals (i-iv) all appear in margins on pages 22 through 29. (The states do not, however, appear in the same order as the numbering.)
- The margin position of each state name does not match the state line position (relative to the digit) on the map. But it's possible that we are supposed to rotate the page to make the two positions match.
- Three of the state names in the margins are misspelled: "Louisana," "S. Dakoda," and "North Dakoda."
- Certain letters in the state names in the margins seem to have extra emphasis. If we collect them all, we get SEEIRNEPT, which can be rearranged to form PINE TREES.
- The four margins that contain state names all use an internally-consistent orientation except for OHIO, which is written in vertical letters down the left edge of page four. Ohio is also the only state name where all the letters are bilaterally-symmetrical (when written in all-caps). We could hold a mirror up to the left margin with OHIO and see an identical reflection. This might be telling us to reflect some images along some lines.
- The lower right corner of the map says "8 STATES."
Anything else?

typo the stars of Sargent Gift Park. also the Cassiopeia connection might be the legend where it said she was chained to a rock waiting before being rescued. It may just refer to finding some kind of stone to dig by.

Pine trees can also be "serpent i.e." rattlesnakes the starts of Sargent Gift park. Please note that “PINE” is anagrammed from states in horizontal orientation. “TREES” is anagrammed from states in vertical orientation. While there could be other anagrams, I believe PINETREES to be correct On that note, if you go to the verse (some trees have needles etc), I believe the author is metaphorically speaking about US States ie. They all look like haystacks because I haven’t given you enough information yet (to find the needle).
