Yes, that fancy script (cursive on steroids) is difficult on the eyes! For those fancy letters, I was using: EOQFD Have you found anything using EVQFD?

I would recommend looking at the 17th-century poet Robert Herrick.
Using a Caesar cipher, eboofzhpclroqebka gives you herricksfourthend.
I also noted that the name of the PDF document with the clues was strangely nonsense and long so I put it through a cipher too. ;-)

I mean I know what the letters are but can't make any sense of them. As far as Herrick goes. What poem do we use? There are like 2,500 of them.

I also noted that the name of the PDF document with the clues was strangely nonsense and long It depends on what the meaning of the word rakes is. Since Robert Herrick was estimated to have at least 14 mistresses and remained unwed, I think this clue is just to confirm him as the "Herrick" in question. He only has one published work that compiles all of his poems, "The Hesperides & Noble Numbers: Vol. 1 and 2". You can access the full work here in various forms: www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/22421Each poem is numbered, so I'm now working on theories about identifying which poem to use. I have an idea I've been looking at but it hasn't panned out yet.
