If the Key has existed since early human history (or words to that effect), what could “with each generation, an initiate reforged the Key” mean? It would not be something specific about a painting, cave, the church where blue apples were cast, ley lines, or Shugsborough Monument, right? Reforging the Key could simply be a reference to all the different titles of given to the B.V.M. over the centuries by different people as evidenced in Polyanthea Mariana. This seems to me to be the simplest and most obvious explanation for the reference to 'reforging the Key'.

'The Mime Honk Project' article also uses the word 'FORGE'. The article states '[...]the group made substantial steps in creating the central core of the database they were attempting to forge.' and again '[...]those that are still linked to legends forged in the Fellowcraft and Master Mason Degrees [...]'.
Perhaps the word is to be understood through the following definition of FORGE, meaning "to counterfeit" a letter, or a document, from Old French forgier, "falsify".

If the model for the pose of the Shepherdess figure was the Cesi Juno, then the shepherdess can also be identified as the goddess Hera since Hera was the Greek equivalent of Juno. www.royaldecorations.fr/Scultura-in-bronzo/dea-Hera/itGoddess Hera in Italian is Dea Hera which is an anagram of a Rhedae which means at Rhedae in French. Since Rhedae was an old name for Rennes-le-Chateau, at Rhedae may be understood as at Rennes-le-Chateau. The inference seems to be that tomb is located at Rennes-le-Chateau. In this way the shepherdess identifies both the occupant of the tomb AND it’s location.

The use of the word reforge could also be a pointer towards alchemy in which the philosopher’s mercury is known under almost as many names as the B.V.M. As has been previously noted Mercurius is even one of the titles of the B.V.M. www.cambridgescholars.com/resources/pdfs/978-1-4438-5575-4-sample.pdfThe book The Alchemical Virgin Mary in the Religious and Political Context of the Renaissance by Urszula Szulakowska is an interesting read about the connection between the B.V.M. And alchemy.

'Lez Dozzierz Secretz d'Henri Lobineau' is a 27-page document that purports to represent a part of the history of the Priory of Sion, and it is considered to be a forgery. Can a FORGED document be RE-FORGED? Is that what Priory Publications tried to do? Is that what MARANATHA is? Text, lies, and a black-and-white landscape?

One of the first books which I read on this “The Cipher of Roger Bacon” by William Romaine Newbold. Although it’s conclusions were somewhat strange, I was intrigued that on the last page of the book, referred to as The Key, was one of the few recognisable words in the manuscript - Maria(end of second line) Although the initial connection that I made to Marantha was tenuous to so the least - Athanasius/ Athanasius Kircher - the more I studied the mysterious book, the more connections I found. That the word Maria was associated with The Key prompted me start investigating all I could find about the B.V.M. Little did I know however just important the V.M.was to become.

Of the Virgin Manuscript, sorry, Voynich Mary, Mr. Newbold states that 'The last page contains the Key only, and f.57v bears a diagram, not yet de-ciphered, which is probably a Key [...]'
Mmmm... The words are
SIX MARIX MORIX VIX AHIA MA MARIA
Well... it rhymes, I'll give you that.

The oldest surviving manuscript of the constitutions of the craft of masonry is the six-hundred-year-old HALLIWELL MANUSCRIPT. That is, MASONRY, as in the craft of, you know, actual, practical stone-masonry. The Halliwell Manuscript has been appropriated by modern boohbah Freemasonry, whose modern Masters and members are mainly not stone-masons. This manuscript notes in its opening verses that
QUOTE Yn that tyme, throggh good gemetry, Thys onest craft of good masonry Wes ordeynt and made yn thys manere Y-cownterfetyd of thys clerkys y-fere; At these lordys prayers they cownterfetyd gemetry, And gaf hyt the name of masonry For the moste oneste craft of alle. END QUOTE That is, In that time, through good geometry, this honest craft of good masonry was ordained and made in this manner, COUNTERFEITED of these clerks together; At these lord’s prayers they COUNTERFEITED geometry, and gave it the name of masonry, for the most honest craft of all. Counter-feited? Or perhaps FORGED? Did Priory Publications also counter-feit a geometry?

Little did I know however just important the V.M.was to become. collections.library.yale.edu/catalog/2002046Image 140/77v The most interesting page in the VM, as far as the RLC mystery is concerned, is 77v. On this page are depicted a number of images of a naked woman standing in what might be described as some form of tub or bath. In all the images except the one at the bottom left (the one with the disclocated left arm) there are also depicted strange tube-like structures into which the hands of the woman are thrust. Why is this image interesting in respect to the mystery of RLC? The answer is that a very similar image is found at RLC. www.theinvisiblegorilla.com/gorilla_experiment.htmlThe image at Rennes-Le-Chateau is like the "invisible" gorilla in the video link. I first saw a version of the invisible gorilla at a conference in about 2004. When the video was shown there was no explanation given as to why it was being shown, all we were told were the instructions that are described at the beginning of the article in the link. When the video was replayed and the gorilla pointed out I was shocked to realise that I was one of those who never saw the "gorilla" when the video was shown for the first time.Nowadays the experiment is so well known that most people find it hard to believe that anyone could not see the gorilla. The image of "the naked woman in the tub” is like the invisible gorilla. Anyone who has studied the mystery of Rennes-Le-Chateau for any length of time, I am sure will have looked at “the naked woman in the tub”on multiple occasions yet never ‘seen’ her. Despite her being in plain sight, I have never seen any mention of her anywhere in the vast literature on the subject. Can you find the 'naked woman in the tub' at RLC? Like me, when I realised that I had not seen the gorilla in the video, I suspect that you will be shocked when you find her! The 'naked woman in the tub' is not the only "invisible gorilla" at RLC. There is a whole family of "invisible gorillas". Once you have found the "naked woman in the tub" try then to find the rest of her family! When you find the naked woman in the tub and the rest of her family, I suspect that, even though you might be convinced at the moment that the whole thing is a hoax, you will change your mind, and be convinced that the mystery is in fact real.

The French word BAINS means BATHS. The French word for GORILLA is GORILLE. But you want us to find a GIRL in a bath, not a GORILLE. Probably. A BAIN-MARIE uses a container inside another container that is filled with water that is kept heated, in order to cook or to keep heated the thing that is in the first container. A bain-marie can be used to melt chocolate, and bake creme brulee and cheesecake, and make clotted cream and beurre blanc. And soap.

The Old Testament verse, GENESIS 28:17, does not refer to the Virgin Mary. Alors je suis d'accord, mon ami. The use of this Old Testament verse on the arch of the door to the church, is not surprising. The verse is not used exclusively for churches only dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
However, could this verse be used for a church that is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and could the verse have been chosen for the two associations that you detail? Certainement.
This church is no longer dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The transition of its dedication from Beate Marie to Sainte Marie happened centuries before Fr. Sauniere was born. However, when Fr. Sauniere re-modelled the porch, he could have copied over the prior decorative features, like inscriptions, in an effort to retain the history of building.
It seems it is not known by historians when this changing of the church's main saint took place. However, I notice that the porch has two blocks of stone that are integrated into its structure, that are each inscribed with a year. One block is marked with the year 1891, the year that Fr. Sauniere had the porch built. The other block is marked with the year 1646. This block marked 1646, it seems to me, must of come from an older part of the church's exterior structure. It was part of the stone-work of a wall, or a part of an entrance, that Fr. Saunier re-used, after he dismantled, moved, then built, or re-built, part of the building.
Just as the block marked 1891 records the year that Fr. Sauniere completed his re-construction of the church, I suggest that the block marked 1646 is a record of the last time that the church under-went a major renovation of its structure, prior to 1891. When Fr. Sauniere had completed his EXTENSIVE renovations of the church, he marked the end of the construction work with a ceremony in which he re-dedicated the church to Saint Mary Magdalene. Using Fr. Sauniere's actions as an example, the year 1646 could be the unrecorded year when the church transitioned from the Virgin Mary, and was first dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene.
Dedicating the church to a new saint would be an event that would, it seems to me, be marked by a renovation of the church, which would have involved construction work. New church, new saint. That such re-construction work was carried out, is attested to by the block marked with the year 1646.
What caused the renovation of the church in 1646? Well, in 1646, construction began on the new church of Saint Sulpice in Paris, a construction project that would take two-hundred years to complete. Perhaps the excitement of that project inspired and motivated the construction work done on the church at Rennes-le-Chateau.

Here is a different photograph.
A-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha! I don't know why I did any work to figure this out for myself. The Timeline in the MARANATHA book has an entry for the year 1646, although the entry refers to the church of Saint Sulpice in Paris, and not the church in Rennes-le-Chateau.
Ha-Ha-Ha! 16 = P, 4 = D, and 6 = F.
