Wow! That’s brilliant thinking.

OK. So Lukas never intended to give us a key-tester.
Either he expected us to locate the chest, X marks the spot (something to do with the number 10?), and apply each key in the chest so as to gain affirmation of correctness;
or he set it up so that the chest will present itself as we progress through solving the clues.
At least 2 people have supposedly found the chest. Anybody have ideas?
Lukas has said the location of the chest is alluded to in the riddle and we have the X marks the spot hint.
Stanza 9... "Real treasure lies in friends?... Facebook?
"Real treasure lies in friends"
My take on that for many months now has been payPAL Who else would to you trust to hold on to a money prize except a friend or pal you could trust and be certain it was kept securely? All you would need to collect the prize is an email address and a password. I suspected the second key would be a password.
Lukas has stated that there is mechanisms in place to confirm you have found the 'chest'. What more simple way to do it than simply logging in to a paypal account.
Now I am not so sure, but unless someone is prepared to say they have actually found a website that is without doubt related to this hunt and is clearly the supposed chest, I still think it to be very likely.
I agree. I think PayPal is the chest.
To open PayPal we need an email or a phone number for the first entry. We have the phone number. The password must be at least 7 characters and contain letters and numbers.
The thing that convinced me that PayPal is the chest was the Sept hint: “X marks the spot.”
The original name of PayPal was X.com. It was renamed PayPal in 2001.
So anyone who has seen the login page of PayPal has seen the chest, in my opinion.

I've cracked it. It's really straightforward and simple. Don't overthink it. Thanks. I still think it needs a book, and I haven’t had any luck there.

Well, if someone let the cat out of the bag, I sure haven’t seen it. I’ve been left in the dust.

‘Turn’ is a musical term. Maybe it was used to let us know they were musical notes?

No, dashes are not required. Just 10 digits.

Goldenchild, I would if I could. It looks like a bowling alley, but I can’t find a match.

Thank you Jenny and everyone else. This was a fun hunt! I was surprised when i started deciphering the message and words actually started appearing on my paper. With all the talented folks working on this one, I figured someone had already tried the keyword. Lukas told me he wants to reveal the solve himself, and I think it’s coming out soon. So now it’s back to the big hunt.

The cipher has me stumped right now. What is so puzzling is that every letter in the alphabet is used many many times ruling out simple substitution-like ciphers. I tried a bunch and got nowhere so far. I could use a hint, too.

I deciphered the code that is above the map. I was wondering if anyone else has. One part of the message doesn’t make sense to me and I wanted to know if anyone else has a problem with it.

I figured I would work on this one, even though it’s not north of Santa Fe.

This is old news, but, the triangle on the $5 bill covers up the word ‘Treasure’. The final ‘r’ on Treasurer is cut off.
