I agree this one was a little tougher than the last to understand but I am ok with that because people that can understand it usually help us out here. So far I have the solution narrowed down to the Northern Hemisphere. I think? lol I did think I heard "near Kemah" rather than Kenya. Kemah is an amusement park SE of Houston. This is interesting, especially for puzzle solvers like us! : www.escapekemah.com/

I can imagine the bugler too...
Colonel: "We have got to fall back. We are going to get destroyed if we stay here. Bugler, sound the retreat!" Bugler: "Ummm... sorry Colonel but I seem to have misplaced my mouthpiece."

It's actually a french horn mouthpiece I found on a marching band practice field.

Since it is solved, can someone tell us who the wizard is? Then maybe we can work out the rest of the puzzles (if it is set up that way). Who the wizard is is not important however a wizard is critical to the solve. Jenny put the answer right in front of us on the scroll if we only knew how to see. And she was exactly right, when you get the answer there is no doubt. Maybe it just takes an old man like me to solve it. LOL Now that the solution has been released I hope everyone realizes my last line in the post above was made in jest and actually contained the answer to the scroll.

I thought you might enjoy seeing some of my finds. There is some jewelry and lots of clad coins found in the 80s and 90s. I haven't been metal detecting in years and I live very close to the coast?? This contains a lot of the coins and stuff. I probably have found 50 or so silver coins that I have in coin sleeves somewhere. lol Here is my metal detector bought in the early 70s I believe. This Whites Eagle II was state of the art in its day. It is a discriminator and can recognize different coins, gold, etc. I am going to have to check it out and see if it still works. (It does!) I guess I can now add my H Charles New Mexico cache I found using my new Ace 400 detector. I had many good times with my metal detector on beaches, school yards, farms, and in the Rocky Mountains.

Big John's Bar-b-cue in Ferriday, LA. Read the Google reviews about the bathroom. "The food is actually pretty good, but considering the bathroom never has soap or paper towels, I don't find it tempting to eat here knowing that the cook (nor myself) can't wash his/her hands when using the restroom. Not to mention, every time I walk in, I'm reminded that I have to go get cash out of the atm (off site) because they don't accept credit/debit cards. Are you kidding me? It's 2014...I've seen snowball stands that take debit cards. I'm not eating here again until they become more sanitary, and move into this century with their payment system."Hahaha, according to the new Cowlazar interview, I actually got this right! Man was I so close to finding that thing and having everything figured out. Sometimes it's just not meant to be, I guess. Learn from your mistakes and move on to the next one. ditto!

So,what was with all the shirt changes during the video. Was he signaling perhaps another clue if he had released this video at the beginning of the hunt as originally planned?

The view was a close up so it was hard to tell for sure but it looked like the Balanced Rock area from what I could see. There was low undergrowth in front of the bolder and he just placed in there close to the boulder, maybe a foot away and spread leaves over it. It looked like it was in some sort of waterproof canvas encasement, hard to tell. I feel I looked there, but just didn't dig into the growth far enough.
Also, see the new thread I just created for the new "search". You just have to solve the riddle and send it to him for a case of bourbon.

At 9:00 am the tv station showed what was coming up and the quick shot of Pete burying/hiding the flute showed him in front of a large rock wall that definitely looked like the Hot Springs site we were all checking. Still waiting for the 9:35 reveal time.

I am still looking for someone that wants an easy $250.00. You need to live north of the Mason Dixon line to be anywhere near. (That would be the line that makes up southern border of Pennsylvania and extending east and west.)
