The title of the 'poem' is To Coin a Phrase I think this might hint that we are to find 'A Phrase' which will lead TO COIN (to the coin) (To Coin, A Phrase) The last line seems to support this idea by ending with: 'thoughtfully designed, and phrased.'.... possibly hinting it is a 'phrase' we need to find within the coded scroll leading us to the exact location of the coin. I thought meant a tree "city of oaks", And the layers have that word code. I thought something to do with the natural science museum as the God on the left is a match to the downtown roads near there. The 5 sided image seems to be a parking lot. The dinosaur led me there. The cowboys I can't figure out.

And does today's update from the author about the smoky mountains play a part? Anybody else notice that this Facebook post by Pete from March 20th about the great smoky mountains has mysteriously disappeared? Did he delete it (bc it was too revealing?) does anybody remember what it was about or what this gist of it was? And was there a reference to the great smoky mountains in the book somewhere? For some reason I remember it being in the book but for the life of me I can't seem to find it. Maybe it was just the post I read. I thought it was something about Lane saying he vacationed in the great smoky mountains. Or maybe Nelson. This type of action is making more and more sour to this hunt. Shady stuff it seems.

One has a pretty good vblog if the biggest issue is that you didn't fit everything in. Enjoyed this as the last and I hope the next.....

Question for the Kindle version: On p. 25 of the hardcopy, there is a phrase "when a perfectly normal per- son cracks" so "per-son" has been cracked into two parts (on two lines) Is it this way in the Kindle version? There is no hyphen in the kindle version. person in the middle of the line.

I was disappointed not getting the video but actually thought it was a good read so got over that. I do think after talking to so many that it is in fact like the fenn search, too many rabbit holes. Actually fenn search has at least ruled stuff out and has continual contact. Fenn still is king in my book of how to run a chase. Though don't tell him, I want more and we need to keep pushing him on these blogs to keep us searchers with info. Lol.

I would throw out that the bars look to be a specific set of streets in down town Raleigh. I tried to view in google maps. I don't know the area so not sure if being a local would help or if that grid is known. Also, take the PDF and De layer it, you will see the symbol, dinosaur, numbers etc. The two cowboys are a lift from some standards art, I think it builds a word. I think the stick men may have something to do with Native American symbols. I need to find my notes, I can throw out some other stuff. I helped a friend a few months back and gave some thoughts but haven't put much time into it. How does one de layer a pdf? I can make out the image of the dinosaur and car but can't quite see the other things. You have to have the adobe writer software. I am happy to email it to you the delayered if you want to email me kpro3@aol.com

Check out near the natural science museum. It seems to match perfectly if you go to google maps and put it in the grid lines mode (not sure what it is called, basically lines, not the real thing).

I have heard there are two versions of the book and some (one?) claims to have it. One pre print and one final print.

Same, about the buying books for libraries e-mail. I was hoping there would be a clarification from Pete about the cipher code being different in kindle vs print books. I missed this, what are the differences?

Just joined this hunt. Can never have enough puzzles to work on! So True! I find working on many helps with all..... different perspectives and thoughts needed for working on one hunt sometimes sparks ideas on things to try for others.... Jenny, didn't you go botg on this one? If so, can you share any details (and understand if no), just curious.
