Here's another possible location with lots of fun interpretations: At the place where jewels abound Fifteen rows (rues) down (south) to the 'ground' (floor) In the middle of twenty-one (middle of 2 and 1) From end to end Here is a sovereign people Who build palaces 'to shelter' (two shelters) Their heads for a night! (crown AND tiara) Let me start with the masque in the image. 2 interpretations that will work together. Louis Armstrong mask and comedy/tragedy masks (comedy mask shown). Image below shows 77 in the fingers. Also clock minute hand is touching XI and V in preservation. So we have "Louis XIV". Look up Louis XIV in NOLA map. It ends at the corner of the 'Tiara' Park similar to image 7 if you extend the Louis' mask's handle. (image below) Notice all the jewels abound (street names). tinyurl.com/2c3akfz5Coincidentally 15 'rues' down (south) from that spot gets you to Florida St. (floor?) Middle of 21 and to shelter (2 shelters) are connected. A bit north at the Lakeshore Park there are two shelters; #1 and #2. In the middle is the Mardi Gras Fountain. Next to Shelter #1 is the West 'End' Point. I couldn't find the East End one. It was perhaps next to Shelter #2. Would make a good end to end. The fountain got all these tile displays honoring different 'Krewes' royal crests. goo.gl/maps/LbzWV9qmkvGZL8uU6All the displays have the comedy/tragedy masks on each side. One specific one is of King Arthur with '1977'. goo.gl/maps/n3VGv3d5jMmuxZzg9This one is interesting too with 1929 from image:

Nice work Choice! The double line on the clock face between the X and IV also helps link them together.

Image 7 analysis: Arrows pointing to P and N with minutes hand pointing to bluish turquoise. This may mean a body of water that it's name start with P and end with N. Pont in Pontchartrain means bridge. There's a dark brown bridge on top of the clock. The mask is hiding 6 + 7 + 8 = 21. Middle of 21 would be 7. 7 o'clock direction points to the right eye of the mask. That eye is the layout of Lake Pontchartrain rotated 180 degrees. 7 hidden in each flower with a plus (+) in the middle (minutes hand); 7 + 7 Minutes hand touches XI and V. XIV Seconds hand is at 14 seconds (slightly short of 15). Boy's right hand and left foot are connected and pointing to X and IV (clockwise). XIV 7 and 7 hidden in fingers holding the mask pole. That's five clues pointing to XIV (14) Combined with Louis Armstrong mask you get Louis XIV, the strongest french connection as you can get. Continue a line from the pole (Louis XIV St.) and you hit the round half-circle holding the Turquoise. The map correlation would be Ring St.

Here's a fun interpretation: If we take "stand watch" as the grandfather clock then Only three stand watch O3 SW This completes the coordinates box. Diagonal from 90 is 19; 91 read backwards. Similarly, diagonal from 29 would be 03; south-west location on the clock face. (90-91, 29-30) Image below may describe the map location AND dig-site image match.

I like it Choice, finding the “30” helps open up portions of New Orleans that are north of City Park. Couple ways to look at the lat/long coordinates in the images. For the most part people have tried to find 2 lat/long each and make a “box” around a particular city. The other approach is say you have an area where you only have 1 lat/long for that city, does that then help eliminate the portion of the city NOT at that lat/long? In this case, without the “30”, would you focus on the “29” latitude parks in New Orleans (southern portion)?

I'm not completely clear about the purpose of the Long/Lat numbers. Is it to pinpoint the city or the actual area of interest? If area of interest then this set of numbers is within the NOLA but anything north of Germain St would be 30+ and out of bounds. How would Byron get exact long/lat numbers? Do those gray rectangles around the clock face with X in the middle (image above) look familiar?!

I think in most cases it’s to pinpoint the city, but you may be able to also eliminate parts of cities if there is only 1 lat/long coordinate in the image. Byron wouldn’t have or need EXACT lat/long numbers, but a half decent map of New Orleans even 40 years ago should show 29 and 30 degrees north latitude as faint lines I would believe. Anything more than that no, but he didn’t need anything more than that for his puzzles. To answer your last question, sure looks like the fence on Basin Street (minus the X) just west of Congo Square if I’m being honest (spot favored by a couple people on Q4T). The outline of that part of the park also similar to bright blue square next to the clock in the image as well, so there’s that…

Last 9 lines of the verse can be interpreted as the step by step directions to the area of interest: Sound of friends, Mt. Carmel Academy students. Fills the afternoon hours, after school hours. Here's how I get there: Sovereign people = royalty, king/queen = Louis XIV St. Shelter = Lee (Robert E.) Their heads for a night! = Crown, Tiara Park. Gnomes admire: "The Opal of the Lowland Gnomes", Opal St. Fays delight: "Turquoise the Fays of France keep", Turquoise St. The namesakes meeting -- Near this site: Intersection of Cameo St. and Cameo St. and Turquoise St.

The New Orleans casque is buried on the south side of Mardi Gras Fountain! There are 20 plaques on the east side and 20 on the west side of the fountain. There are 15 palm trees on the east side and 15 on the west. The dig spot is on the south side between these trees and also centered between the plaques.
South of the fountain all the streets are named after gems.

Still thinking the Image 7 Verse 2 city is St. Louis, not the Crescent City.
