That may also be part of the solution! Notice the prominent "crow's feet" in the painting. Crow-stepped gable is a Dutch architecture feature.

Like I showed there was Dutch immigration in Quebec City if you really want Dutch. The book eludes to Kaaterskill so why are we looking in Montreal? Oh yeah the legeater. Show me the clock? It’s not about what WE want, it’s about what Byron left in The Secret for us to follow. The Litany of the Jewels states that the Opal goes with the Dutch. The 9th image we are all using has the Opal shown in it, therefore it goes with the Dutch…pretty simple stuff really. So we aren’t imposing our personal opinions on the matter, it’s a fact. As for why look in Montreal, well again Byron said that one of the jewels was buried in Canada. He was from New York City and Montreal is a straight shot up the Interstate and was Canada’s biggest city at the time as well as recently hosting both Expo and the Olympics. Based on that information alone it’s got to be on the shortlist for Canadian burial sites. If you believe Quebec City is as well, more power to you. The St. Louis theory people are laughable because they can’t point to a different image as the “Canadian” image even though Byron said there is one. So their whole theory falls apart because it’s a package deal. If you believe the 9th image in the book is St. Louis then you NEED to have a different image that goes with Canada. The St. Louis people just completely ignore this fact. By believing it’s Quebec City at least you agree that image 9 is the “Canadian” image, so you still have a “leg” to stand on. As Choice said, each image has a “clock”, 12 images and 12 hours on a clock face. Some are obvious and are literally clocks, while other images have items that are meant to represent a specific “hour”. Take Milwaukee for example, the 2 balls represent 2 o’clock. This is also confirmed by a specific hour on the clock painted on the underside of each casque lid. In addition to this it also correlates to the 12 months, so Milwaukee being 2 o’clock also means it’s the February puzzle. The “X hourglass” makes sense as it is the 10 o’clock image AKA the October image.

Don’t get me wrong. I like the way the painting could match the Mt. Stephens club area and all. It’s the verse and those Japanese clues that don’t fit in with the location. C’est la vie.

I’m all for listening to other peoples theories as long as they post the complete solve with pictures included so it can be challenged.

I noticed that the name ‘Montreal’ contains the letters l-a-n-e. The remaining letters are r-m-t-o. There was a TV show in the seventies called ‘Room 222’. It was about teachers and students. Byron Preiss was a teacher in the seventies. So, “Lane” and “Two twenty two” would indicate that the verse city was Montreal. The next line begins with “You’ll”. ‘YUL’ is the airport code for Montreal.
The man in the painting is holding his hands together. The fingers form : a Pi symbol π (ring finger and pinky), an I (middle finger) and an X (both index fingers). It would represent Boulevard Pie-IX. It is in Montreal, named for Pope Pius IX.

Using the same methodology you could say Montreal can be broken down to Lane + "mort". Lane mort; or a dead-end street.

i know the exact location on this casque, ive solved and used street view to confirm all lines in the verse and uncovered plenty of clues within the verses and the painting. i have evidence of the entire trail start to finish and everything aligns. unfortunately i live in the uk. can anyone help me find out what measures i need to put in place in order to get a dig started?
