I believe I know within 30 acres where this treasure is located. I would like to share this info with one person rather than the whole board. If you are interested, please reply here or PM me. If you find it based on my work, I request that you send me one coin. Chip V.
p.s. If I don't get an individual hunter by 14th August, I will publish to the whole board. Hope I don't set off a stampede.
I THINK I HAVE A PARTNER. Mr. Miller please call or write to me.

Actually, this line would fit the Phoenix area as well: "Where its always around 90 degrees." Another sly meaning of that could be: turn around 90 degrees, make a right angle.

"King who hides in the attic." Montezuma's Castle on Hwy 17. Ok, I'm willing to believe that Montezuma is the king who hid in the attic. But how does Antares tie in?

Two possibilities here: 1. 1-AD-34-23-E7 spells LUCKY. 2. Chip is on another planet as usual.

Another good catch? To amplify on what Matthew said, the red letters actually used are *not* the first ones that could have been used to spell FORGET AND THEN KISS IT. This may be just for looks, or it could have meaning.

The missing numbers are a good catch. I didn't see that. So it could be a code where numbers stand for letters. Oh, and the city of Red Lodge MT is on the middle key.

You are right. She is Kristen Healy. Interestingly, Dr. Kristen Healy is an entomologist at LSU. No telling if she is the same person.

Key two says "LOVE YOU KRISTEN" in the clear. Who is Kristen, and is she happy being loved by a fellow whose very name means deceit?

The first key says in the clear: THEOGONY OF HESIOD. That's the ancient Greek poem that spells out the origin of the gods. Not likely to be happenstance. Are the numbers a book code? Similarly, on key three, THE LETHE POEM is by Charles Baudelaire.

Same for me. My wife swears it is a lady, but we can't find her anywhere. I will try again tomorrow.

I have not. I don't even know what kind of cipher that are. All I see is that there are way too many letters from the end of the alphabet. But not at Atbash cipher. And I did find a partner. Don't know why that message seems to have disappeared.

Ladies & Gents:
I am looking for a partner within reasonable driving distance of New England. I live in Florida, and it is prohibitive for me to go there. Not to even mention COVID-19.
What I offer: I have solid explanations for six of the nine stanzas that have been given so far, including solutions that haven't been published. I am a proven armchair winner, just look on this board for my record with EFanton's Just for Kicks.
What I want: If you go and succeed in a recovery, Fedex me one of the ten ounces of gold.
If you would like to take up this offer, please PM me.

As far as I see the clue, all Mr. Clue's favorite things are irrational numbers. Does this mean: 1. Mr. Clue is irrational and left $17,000 in the woods. 2. We're irrational if we think Mr. Clue left $17,000 in the woods. 3. Something I haven't thought of.

I also thought about music as a way of solving this, especially since there is a business called Amazing Face. (F A C E) Are the spaces of notes on a guitar and a nemomic sp? like E G B D F =Every good boy does fine.... and if you look at our business names, most of them start with a musical note letter and is within the notes length, for example, Chevron =C7, Dan's ACE= D4, A3, Evs=E3, Flowers=F7, By=B2, Gold Beach Books= G4, B5, B5, Amazing Face= A7, F4...etc, but I tried many things with this to no avail??? Also, nothing in the cipher or riddle stanzas even hints toward anything like that? Maybe, maybe maybe. Equal temperament is a common way of tuning a musical instrument. We have been told that we are all equal.
