Key 2

"A CROSS APPENDED HIGH OR LOW IN HAND". As I see it a cross is X roman numeral 10. Appended is Ace for one. So 101? Maybe the key is an address on 101? Or it is across 101 from the Ace hardware store? Or the key actually ends in 101? I haven't been able to make this pay out. So I'm posting hoping somebody else will do better.

Have tried phone numbers of all three businesses across from Ace seperately & together. (Reply for the person who asked us to post misses.)

I'm looking for an alternative to Chicago as the windy city. That gives a date of 16 January 2011. I can't get that to match anything. Can somebody help?

"You only understand the use before encryption" spells YOUTUBE. And the following three lines look like Youtube video names. But none of them lead to a live video. Even if you brute-force one with dcode.fr, all 35 answers still lead to nothing. Is there some other use for these names??

According to one of the hint videos it's "a cross appended". Where did you see this? Fishmini is correct and I (Chipveres) am wrong. I was imagining a video that never existed.

I've also come up with a solid "across appended" solve... just not solid enough to move forward into a Key 2 solve.
Digging this post up- is it "a cross appended" or "across appended?" I'm having trouble trying to investigate both paths. Can't seem to make sense of this. According to one of the hint videos it's "a cross appended".

I've been trying different paypal.me accounts. You can add any string to the end of the url to check if it's a valid account. There is an option to have a user icon, which could be the DBT logo that you would see, if you were to find the right url string. Also, Lukas already seems to have an account there: www.paypal.me/lukasstanleyI haven't found it yet though. Lukas makes part of his living as a music teacher, so the account by itself isn't a smoking gun.

Anything about the cipher, please. It seems obvious until I try to crack it.

Yes it's a running cipher. Please count carefully.

That cipher is a doozy, even if you know who created it.

Just wanted to resurrect this thread to say it seems to appear Lukas really may be hiding some clues in his videos. I think most have deduced that key 2 deals with a shipwreck. In the very first video, where the riddle is read, there's a ship sitting on the bookshelf behind Lukas. Then, in his newest video for the April clues, the same ship is again sitting behind him in the video in the left corner. It could just be a coincidence, but Lukas has said before that he won't comment on whether or not there are clues in the initial video. I wonder what other hints could be hiding in the videos? Indeed the watery tragedy may involve a shipwreck. But it may also refer to James Kim drowning in a tributary of the Rogue River.

Not sure how awesome it is. That still leaves an unknown amount of lower case, upper case, numbers and spaces. Plenty enough to put us all in the nearest insane asylum.

Two hints: He's in a very public place. He's listed as Jamesw Marshall. With the James and the w run together.
