For those not on THOR, I posted my solutions to the first 6 clues there over the last several days. (Easier there because I wanted to include embedded pictures.) Out of respect for the finder and Forrest, I've withheld my last 3 clue answers in the unlikely event my end-to-end solution is correct. My intent was to balance competing desires of not stealing the finder's thunder (in the extremely unlikely case my solution was correct), with my wish to have a public record of enough of my clues that no one could claim I manufactured my solution after-the-fact (should the finder go public with his in the near future and it matches). My hope is the finder will remain silent for at least the next couple months, or if he ~does~ reveal any info, that it is minimal (e.g. he eliminates a state, or names the find state.) I don't need the finder or Fenn to confirm or deny my solution--I'm quite capable of doing that myself when I get there. ;-) Here's the link for anyone curious (particularly if you favored Montana): www.hintofriches.com/forum/the-hint-of-riches/171607-zapster-s-first-4-clues#post171607

You're another one who used a rather ingenious way to go about this. Some of you people think way above my pay grade.

Goldwatch: thanks so much for taking a look! I appreciate outside perspectives to help gauge how reasonable/far-fetched my ideas were. :-)
