There is a YouTuber from the UK and his name is Paul Paul. He has come out with a few videos recently claiming he is indeed the finder.Yes many people have made claims over the years I realize this. I know Paul Paul (through chats) and have no reason to think that he is not the finder. If it does end up being true it couldn't have gone to a better person. He is the real deal and fits the description from back East and shy. Paul Paul, if it is you, congratulations! Everyone needs to back off and give Forrest and the finder time to figure all this out. The way I understand it is that he originally wanted to remain anonymous but was forced to come out due to law suits forthcoming.

Is the picture posted on Dal's supposed to be (part of?) that picture? dalneitzel.com/2020/06/12/important-found-4/This is a curious picture - the condition inside the chest seem pristine, to the point of reflections off the wood lining. In particular, the reflection off the right side shows the gold coins, which seem to be covered by other objects. Maybe it's just the angle. The phrase "Look for more information and photos in the coming days." could be interpretted that the picture of the chest interior is from the finder? |

Did the finder supposedly send forrest a picture proving that it was found? Or tell him something specific? What is the "more...pictures" about? Or is it "more information" and pictures,,, of the chest before it was hidden?

Maybe photos were supposedly coming, and then never showed up? That could cause the delay in follow up news. |

The first time I read Forrest's "The Chest has been Found" statement it struck me as melancholic. Although It is difficult to infer tone from a written statement, I think we can all agree that it wasn't congratulatory towards the finder or celebratory in any way. I do believe Forrest was as surprised as we all were and because we don't have any details of the circumstances, it's difficult to critique his reaction. That said, I don't understand why Forrest has seemingly distanced himself from communications with his closest searcher friends like Dal, Jenny, Sacha and Jason, Kpro and Cowlazars and others. These searchers really gave their love and support to Forrest and his treasure hunt over the years. Why hasn't he been able to speak on his own behalf, completely excluding the finder or any drama that may be going on behind the scenes, and talk to them privately or the community as a whole? It is surprising and I will say bluntly, disappointing that we haven't heard from Forrest. Something isn't quite right and doesn't sit well with me when the loyalty and respect that many people showed Forrest hasn't been reciprocated. We all made sacrifices to take part in this hunt. Yes, it was a personal choice and wasn't forced upon us but somehow I do feel we deserve at the very least some genuine words from Forrest even if only in Scrapbook form. I am concerned and I really hope everything is ok.
