Oh boy, FF as a spider luring us into his inescapable web! I don't think I'll be able to sleep at night after thinking of that!!

In the very first chapter of OUAW FF tells about singing 'O Sole Mio. And then he finishes with the drawn picture of himself standing on a stool and saying "Thank you! Thank you very much!" That's an Elvis reference, of course. And Elvis had 'O Sole Mio rewritten for his own song. It was titled.... wait for it.... "It's Now Or Never" That is a really astute observation and interpretation, BB.

That is superb research, BB, and I think you've nailed the real meaning behind two treasures. I don't think there are two physical treasures, but that the chest is symbolic of something that goes much deeper.

Yes, it's a little weird regarding the two weights (what isn't in this Chase?), and you might be right. One thing to consider is that he makes "errors" to draw attention to something he wants searchers to consider.

Very interesting discussion. Although the number 2 is very important to my solution, I have no idea whether or not there are two objects to find, or indeed two treasures. What I do believe, however, is that there are two endings, and that the second one can only be found once you have solved everything else and revealed the first end.

It is determination and a lot of imagination you need as you pursue each piece of the poem's structure. It is all there IMO. Rarely a truer word spoken in the Chase!

It is quite a long journey also, as there are several steps required to get there and a lot of imagination in the mix on the way. I agree with this. As for a key word, I also believe there is one that is vital to get you going, and inform you along the way, but it would be unwise to regard this as the only word required to guide your progress. What I'm seeing all over the blogs at the moment is a concerted effort to use hints to generate a solve. This, to me, is an exercise in futility. Yes, the hints can be helpful, but only in conjunction with the poem, and mainly to confirm something revealed in the poem. There has been some excellent work done recently, particularly by OH!, but it is beginning to lead people down very large rabbit holes, IMO, because I see attempts at force-fitting the poem to hints that may have nothing to do with the clue currently under analysis. This is the principle reason I tried to ignore hints until I'd found the poem mechanisms. Almost every time I was seduced into taking account of non-poem statements, I got bogged down: the 200' claim was just one such example.

I am currently looking into the possibility of trespassing being the ONLY way to retrieve the chest. Turning us all into hardened criminals. Lol. I know jail cells are cold. I'd be willing to go to jail for a million dollars. Please be careful. I really believe it's on public land.
